you cannot absorb more than 500 mg every few hours so all the brands with 1000 mg, is that just to induce diarrhea when you are constipated ? you know: 1 gram every 15 min till you have loose stools and if you count all the grams of vit C you took until your "explosion", that is the limit of vit C you need per day it is cheap and in the "Ascorbic Acid" form, so NOT REAL VITAMINE C better take ascorbate, but even NOW FOOD , don't specify it is NON GMO sourced and many products are manufactured in CHINA have to read the small labels to find this out

Great value for money if you want a medium dose, instant release ascorbic acid kind of C in a large quantity. Vitamin C is water soluble and is excreted from the body quickly. Instant release only lasts 2 - 3 hours, so its best to take a smaller amount, often through the day, rather than a high dose tablet once a day. Either that or take a slow release formula. But something is better than nothing and this is a good value something.

As we get older we need 1000 mg vit C a day. It is believed that men can live 5 or 6 years longer that way. These are the cheapest 500 mg vit C tablets I could find.
