I love this product. R-lipoic acid is much better than regular alpha lipoic acid. This is what the body makes itself. Almost no side effects compared to regular. Clean product with no bad extra stuff in it. This is a rather high dose. I divide it to new capsules 50mg per capsule. More economical that way. And you are unlikely to have any effect if you just take 1 capsule per day since lipoic acid is broken down in the body in about 3 hours. So if you want a detoxifying effect take one 50mg capsule every 3 hours for 2,6 days (3 days and 2 nights) even at night but stretch it to 4 hours at night. If you heavily poluted with mercury and other heavy metals 50 mg might be to high to start with.

blood sugar levels, strengthen kidneys, antioxidant - neutralizes harmful free radicals, modulates immune system. Alpha lipoic acid can cross the blood-brain barrier, and is thought to protect brain and nerve tissue by preventing free radical damage. I take two of these daily - and have found my energy levels have improved, as well as my brain function.

I've taken over a hundred supplements, and this is one of the few you can really feel. Start with a VERY small dose, 10 mg. Go with another brand at first with a smaller capsule, and take literally one tenth of the capsule (open the capsule up). You'll probably feel it. If you're loaded with metals, it might give you a headache, make sure to take liposomal melatonin and liposomal glutathione with it. This supplement can cross the blood-brain barrier and has a very strong antioxidant affect. If you're really feeling strong stuff from this, you probably have either a heavy metals or parasite issue, but probably both since they go together (each makes you highly susceptible to the other). Or, you're old. This helped me a lot with brain fog, also general fatigue. Start small and work your way up like I mentioned, take it every ~3 hours or so. You're mobilizing metals when you take this, if your body is a good detoxifier you'll eliminate them easily. If you feel bad, back off and up the glutathione and melatonin. For a full metals program, be sure to take binders also, like IMD or chlorella.
