Delicious and nutritious. Rich in dietary fiber, vitamin A, E, B vitamins (thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, riboflavin, folic and pantothenic acids), iron, manganese, calcium, phosphorus, selenium, magnesium, zinc, copper, potas sium, oats are beneficial for people suffering from diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, heart disease, gastritis, acid reflux, nausea, indigestion, osteoporosis, arthritis, rheumatism and even cancer: they help stabilize blood sugar and regulate insulin levels, prevent blood spikes keeping you full longer, aid digestion, prevent heartburn and acid reflux, increase appetite, soothe the stomach lining, reduce colon inflammation, normalize blood pressure, lower triglycerides and LDL or "bad" cholesterol levels while increasing HDL or "good" cholesterol, protect against strokes, atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial disease, help maintain healthy bones and teeth, and even reduce the risk of cancer. I love these rolled oats: not only are they organic and delicious, but also they help normalize my cholesterol levels and blood pressure and relieve the symptoms of my acid reflux and gastritis. Great product.

A restaurant I frequent once a year in Ashland Oregon makes the very best oatmeal I have ever had. I finally remembered to call them to find out what they use and how they prepare it. They use Bob's Red mill, Extra Thick Oats. I found iherb browsing on line. Their price was competitive and their shipping amazing for the price. I ordered 4 bags, shared one with a friend, have told everyone who would listen and am reading to purchase another order.

Really great for oatmeal or for granola. Made mine chewy and crunchy at the same time. Wish they would stock the 25# bag.

Perfect for oatmeal or muesli!

Like other Bob's Red Mill products that I've tried, the extra thick rolled oats are very high quality. I've used these in 3-grain pancakes, muesli, or delicious oatmeal, all with terrific results. I love the still tender but chewier texture of the thicker oats.

Great Texture

These oats are very thick as described. They add nice texture to oatmeal cookies, meat or veggie loaves, and homemade granola bars. They also fit the bill for those who like a little more texture in their morning oatmeal. The fact that they are organic makes them even better!
