Beware the conclusions of "Read-More-Reviews--Here" reviewer
Posted by Reviewer2420954 on Dec 10, 2013
The "Read-More-Reviews--Here" concluded that allithiamine, a disulfide derivative of vitamin B-1 or thiamine, is "foul" because the "foul" taste persisted for some time. Yes, no wonder it persisted in her/him for a long time. Take a look at how many things this person tries and reviews. It is no wonder that allithiamine's tasted foul to this person who takes everything but 'essence of kitchen sink' and has reviews that span ten pages. This person obviously has gastroparesis that is supplement induced. Allithiamine if taken properly (with sips of water before and after taking it) in an individual who does not obviously have gastroparesis does not taste "foul" or persist in the stomach for a long time. Allithiamine is a form of vitamin B-1 that both crosses the bilipid layer separating the inside and outside of the cell AND crosses the blood brain barrier. It can be very useful in the treatment of centrally driven (i.e., brain driven) severe snoring. If one has gastroparesis whereby food and pills persist in the stomach for a LONG time, then this disulfide derivative of vitamine B-1 can taste "foul". It also can taste bad if one plunks three capsules into a dry mouth and does not wash it down promptly with water. Allitiamine can be an alternative to Benfotiamine, another fat soluble derivative of thiamine that DOES NOT, unlike Allithiamine, cross the blood brain barrier.
Revolting stuff - No benefits whatsoever (science says any you do get, are apparently very short lived)

Foul. I threw it away - it was *that* awful to take. Think nasty artificial garlic-flavoured cough medicine that you end up 'tasting' all day or something (opposite end of the spectrum from yummy roasted garlic etc). Won't buy again and wouldn't recommend. If this review was helpful to you, please click YES below - thank you. I suspected a thiamine deficiency as mosquitoes always go for me and completely ignore the people around me, have had nightmares for a long period of time, numb feet almost every day (indicating poor circulation), felt easily stressed out, mood problems, poor electrolyte balance (easily dehydrated), fatigued, possible adrenal problems, colourless nails (poor circulation) and sleeping problems. There are quite some stories on the web where thiamine improves energy levels tremendously in patients with cfs/fibromalgia/chron's disease (look for the Italian studies from Constantini and Pala on thiamine which are very interesting). Possibly my B1 deficiency is due to gut problems - my problems started after I started struggling with IBS. So possibly B1 is not that well absorbed in me. Anways I tried synthetic B1 and no results whatsoever, tried benfotiamine and felt better but something in my body told me not to take it. It would make sense that allithiamine is the preferred form of B1 as it is completely natural and thus very easily absorbed (absorption rates are a problem with synthetics). So went on to allithiamine yesterday and after 4-5 hours started feeling much more relaxed and happier. Energy levels were also higher, I needed less rest between doing things. I will update later if and how progress has continued. But overall the product has exceeded my expectations so far, it seems to be powerful. Update: very nice natural product, i take half capsule every two days as it is very powerful. Cant understand why anyone would take Benfotiamine or another synthetic when this is available.
Good but you will smell like garlic

These are powerful but you may not want to take them daily. I smelt like garlic for days even after stopping taking them. My breath, my body odor etc. But on the plus side I could digest them which was what I bought them for. I don't always digest vitamins with all the fillers in them and synthetics.
