This soothing herbal tea has a pleasant taste and is loaded with health benefits. It has no known side effects or contraindications and is great for people suffering from morning sickness, nausea, vomiting, meteorism, indigestion, bloating, flatulence, colics, IBS, nasal congestion, sore throat, respiratory tract infections, bronchitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, colds, flu, fever, emphysema, asthma, high cholesterol, cardiovascular conditions, hypertension, migraines and headaches, muscle, joint and nerve pain, earache, chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety, agitation, restlessness, depression, dementia, dizzy spells, palpitations, gluten intolerance and celiac disease, diabetes, period cramps, arthritis, rheumatism, osteoporosis, water retention, gallstones and gallbladder disease, and even cancer. Famous for its superb antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, analgesic, antispasmodic, tonic, cicatrizant, soothing and healing properties, plantain tea flushes toxins out of the body, boosts and strengthens the immune system, inhibits the absorption of viruses and helps eliminate them from the system, neutralizes free radicals and reduces acidity, increases energy levels, stimulates the production of digestive enzymes and improves enzymatic reactions in cells, aids digestion, improves kidney and liver function, prevents heartburn and acid reflux, relieves nausea and bloating, increases appetite, improves metabolism and fat burning, reduces inflammation, facilitates healing, improves brain function, helps stabilize blood sugar and regulate insulin levels by preventing blood spikes, normalizes blood pressure, lowers triglycerides and LDL or "bad" cholesterol levels while increasing HDL or "good" cholesterol, protects against strokes, atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial disease, helps maintain healthy bones, joints and teeth, soothes and heals dry and damaged skin, and even reduces the risk of cancer. A plantain tea bag can also be applied topically to treat acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, scabies, shingles, hives, sciatica, ringworm, chicken pox, dandruff, seborrhea, scalp infections, alopecia, gingivitis, parodontosis, gum disease, relieve toothache, prevent cavities and caries, soothe sore gums, facilitate the healing of wounds, sores, scars, bruises, abrasions, cuts, burns, rashes, burns, boils, blisters, insect bites and stings, canker sores, sunburn and peeling skin. It improves the complexion, brightens and evens out skin tone, reduces redness and inflammation, spots, blemishes, blotchiness and small lines, calms itching, helps break down old scar tissue, improves cellular circulation, supports and strengthens the skin's defensive mechanisms, stimulates cell renewal and regeneration, prevents premature aging. It's great for the scalp and hair, as well: it nourishes the scalp and protects it at the cellular level, removes dandruff and flakiness, strengthens the root bulbs and follicle connection, slows down hair loss, pro motes keratin production and hair growth. Plantain tea can also be used as a compress for sore muscles, stiff and achy joints, sprains and injuries: it stimulates blood circulation, relieves pain and aids in coagulation of wounds for faster healing. It's a great healing tea and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to boost their immune system and improve their overall health and well-being.
