I have been using face masks for years while cutting wood, etc. These are great for light duty work. At 20 cents apiece, I am more inclined to protect my lungs.

It is a mask that works well to filtrate large particles in the air like dust, smoke particles. It does not work well as small particles like gas and fumes. You will probably need N95 mask for those purposes. This product is very cheap, costing less than 20 cents apiece. If you have a bigger face like me, you will probably need 2 overlapping each other in order to fully cover any gaps whereby the dust might fly in. I notice that some of the earloop snaps too easily. This is roughly about 10% per box (5 pieces). Being made in China, this is to be expected. Even when using 2 masks per use and having some deflective masks, I still find the prices very competitive. I use these to avoid breathing in dust when cleaning out the vacuum canister or when sweeping up / cleaning dusty situations (garage, cat litter, etc.)
