I have celiac sprue--an autoimmune disease. Having been on a gluten free diet for over 15 years now, I don't get the horrible problems I had pre-diagnosis - but every so often something bothers me - I take certain supplements on days where I feel my immune system is a little sluggish (e.g. Lysine). However, last year I realized I cannot tolerate yeast used in making baked goods. I rarely ingest yeast so after trying some Gluten Free bread around the holidays, I had a horrible systemic yeast problem (not the feminine typical problem - this was something else, bloating, fatigue, etc.) Plus it came with ulcers and horrible heart burn. Meds took care of the yeast and stomach ulcer, but not the ulcer in my esophagus. I started taking L-Glutamine and MSM, both in powder form, and the problem has gone away. The lump and inflammation in my esophagus that I could feel above my rib cage is almost completely gone now. Plus, I can eat chocolate again -- which was irritating it before. Thank god I found this. I was really getting worried about my health.

I think l-glutamine helps heal my gut, this brand seems to work well.
