Brown Rice Syrup

We really like this product and have used it for years. It is a good substitute for processed sugars.

Works well in baking, but tastes wierd on its own!

Posted by Reviewer2531990 on Oct 21, 2011

This product works so well in baking! I just made a batch of energy bars with this sweetener + honey, and the result was soo good! Alone this the brown rice syrup is kind of wierd tasting. The texture and color is like honey, but it has a very unusual, almost nutty flavor! I don't know how to describe it! So this product is not something that I would use alone, but in combination with stevia, honey, agave, maple syrup or any other sweetner! :)

Sugar Sub

Tried for a sugar substitute. Highly sugary! Be careful how much you use, it goes a long ways.

Excellent Replacement for corn syrup!

Posted by Reviewer2535895 on Jun 08, 2011

We use this in our candy business as a substitute for corn syrup! You get a great hard crack with this syrup as a 1:1 replacement! The only difference is it is a darker color than light corn syrup but there is no taste or texture difference! It's fantastic!

I admit it took some getting use to but not bad at all.
