I am not in menopause yet, but sometimes I may feel hot during the day for half an hour, and then cold for half an hour, and again hot, which I suspect is due to hormonal changes, and when I take black cohosh, those hot / cold changes disappear and I feel normal. I also take it when I experience heart palpitations, together with motherwort, and sometimes I add vitex.
