I moved to taking Juniper Berries instead of a prescription medication about a year ago for fluid build-up in my body. This herb helped my problem and aided me in avoiding a medication with side effects. The effect of the Juniper Berries is not as startling to my system as the medication Furosemide (Lasix). Before beginning this treatment, I consulted with a very knowledgeable herb counselor concerning other herbs for the same problem. I was advised against them because daily I must take Coumadin for an inherited blood clotting problem.
