Lavender oil review

This oil is more medicinal in scent. Not good for making soaps or other body care products. Wrong species of lavender for this purpose.

Do not like the peppermint undertones

I have a L occitane lavender diffuser sitting by my bedside to help me fall asleep and thought of sprinkling lavender oil on the sheets and pillows to enhance the scent. The lavender oil I am used to and like has woodsy and musky tones. This however kept me awake with undertones that seemed almost like peppermint; like some other reviewers stated, it smelt almost medicinal. Might be a matter of pure preference but I will not purchase it and will have to use the entire bottle for my ironing spray and cleaning the house. At least lavender oil is meant to contain anti-bacterial/ fungal properties and will not wasted.
