I like to make my own miso soup! As I am living in Singapore, you could think that Korean or Japanese wakame is easier to get. It is actually, but guess what!! IT IS NOT AS GOOD AS THIS ICELAND WAKAME. The Korean one has such fishy smell that can make you puke. This is AWESOME! Just get the Hacho Miso paste from Eden (also on iherb.com) and follow the recipe on the back of the miso paste packaging and you will cook a nice miso soup. Needless to mention that all miso paste in Singapore is full of MSG (or monosodium glutamate or ajinamoto which is a terrible chemical, cancer causing!) so EDEN miso paste is really the best!!

Soak and cook to make lovely dishes. Adding liquid coconut aminos,herb olive oil & balsamic vinegar with vegetables is delicious!

I love this wakame, I bought it as it is not from japan. It taste better than the ones harvested from japan. I hv reordered a few times.

It's very tasty. I don't recommend it to those who have autoimmune thyroid problems because it worsens the situation.

I really like this wakame seaweed and tend to eat it raw. its not too salty, a little chewy but i dont mind that, and the flavour is good. Not too strong. I also chop it up for use in soup.

grind it to flake size bits and use it on salads or in stews. In sauerkraut or kimchi it can be used both ground and whole.

This wakame is good and I like the fact that it's not a produce of China. It has a wonderful texture and flavor. One thing I don't like about it is that the color stays brownish green even after I blanch it. I like my seaweed bright green.
