I substituted coconut oil instead of butter. This is incredibly good and such a great thing to finally find a moist and chewy gluten free and organic brownie mix! Not a total surprise considering the top reputation Simply Organic has earned! =)

Refined Chocolate Taste, Pizza Spice Taste

I'm not sure what was it, but it had an off taste, like that of pizza spice. The chocolate taste was more refined than other brands (process with alkali), but the mix is extremely thick.

These brownies were much more "grainy" than I had anticipated and were very dry. The flavor was ok.
