I can't say anything relevant for this particular product, since the quantity was so small. But my boyfriend has been using Biotin 5000 mcg for the last 5 months or so and the results are clearly visible: his hair does not fall as much and it seems healthier and more beautiful overall. But the results are visible only as long as he's taking the vitamin. If he stops taking it, his hair starts falling again in only a few days. He will continue to use it for an undefinite amount of time

Biotin is a water soluble B vitamin which is an essential nutrient for healthy hair, skin and nails. I ordered it because I have very thin hair by nature and wanted to make it thicker. After trying this free sample I bought Now Foods Biotin which provides the same dose per capsule. I took 1 Vcap for 60 days but didn't feel anything. Then I read that SOME people need a higher dose in order to feel its effect. But for MOST of the people the dose provided by Healthy Origins and Now Foods (5 mg) is enough to help their hair to be stronger. So I decided to switch to another brand (Natrol) which has cheaper biotin and higher dose (10 mg). After 80 days of daily taking 10 mg of biotin I didn't see much improvement in the state of my hair. I started thinking maybe my hair is thin not because of the lack of biotin and I should try something different. Nonetheless I bought the second bottle of this biotin and Avalon Organics Thickening Shampoo. I started taking 20 mg per day instead of 10 and washed my hair with this shampoo. After 6 weeks I noticed that my hair got thicker and stronger. It didn't make my hair extremely thick because my hair is very thin by nature but it still made it thicker and fuller. It means that this supplement really works but some people need higher dose in order to feel the effect. Потом я прочитал, что некоторым людям нужна бОльшая дозировка, чтобы был какой-то эффект. Хотя для большинства людей хватает дозировки, которая идет у биотина от Now Foods (5 мг). Поэтому чтобы прочувствовать эффект мне пришлось взять биотин другого производителя, у которого дозировка в 2 раза больше и стоит он дешевле.
