I take one of theese every day. Capsules are small and easy to swallow, and I like that the jar is easy to open, and relatively small, which is good for both the environment and my storage space. It's not rocket science, just plain and simple vitamin C, and I think most brands will do just fine. I have chosen Thompsons, because it's cheap and the company has been around forever. I'm perfectly happy with this product, and will purchase again when it runs low. ======================================================================================================= 30% of US adults are deficient in vitamin C, according to NHANES, and this is plain stupid, since vitamin C is cheap and supplementation is without risks, even in high doses. In my opinion, everyone should consider supplementing. RDA is set as low as 90 mg for adult males, and some would go for at less potent supplement because of that. But NHANES surveys shows, that men supplementing with 800 mg or more, lives 6 years longer than those supplementing only with RDA. Since no negative effect is known and even extremely high doses (120g intraveneus doses) are considered safe, I for one won't settle for less than 1000 mg a day. ======================================================================================================= Click my name KurtJacobsen ▲ at the top of this review (blue text) to visit my profile and learn more, thanks! ======================================================================================================= iHerb.com has become my favorite place to shop supplements, and I'm not alone, because iHerb has been named #1 online supplement store by ConsumerLab.com the last 6 years in a row! I've been using them for quite some time, and there have never been any problems whatsoever. For customers from outside USA (like me) I recommend the delivery option "Global Priority Mail by DHL". It is incredibly cheap at just 4$, and I always receive the goods here in Denmark (4000 miles away) within 6-8 days. Please also note that chances are high that you will NOT pay any additional custom duties and taxes, when "Global Priority Mail by DHL" is used. ======================================================================================================= I spend a lot of time writing reviews, so if you found this one helpful, please let me know by clicking the “helpful”-button below the review. This is ascorbic acid in a capsule. Goes down easy. I HATE MOST VITAMIN C because it is in nasty tasting, go down hard, tablets that BURN. This doesn't burn. You can swallow 3 @ a time w/ no problem. Ascorbic acid is what Linus Pauling recommends. Word to the wise. I have emailed people all over God's creation about Vitamin C manufacturing. Almost all of the worlds vitamin C used to be made in NJ... China undercut them. NJ plant closed. Now the majority comes from China now & in the European market they get it from Scotland, but that factory can't keep up with demand from what I hear. You can't get Vitamin C made in Scotland in the US to my knowledge. I like the Thompson product and highly recommend it. You will love these capsules.
