Zinc balances hormones and improves the immune system. It is an antioxidant, a constituent of insulin, making it extremely important for blood sugar control. However, this formula is not ideal for me as it has given me white marks on the fingernails (not always a sign of zinc deficiency), where previously I had none. It obviously requires a minimum of copper as well.

This is the worst zinc picolinate brand I've taken. Weak and causes me to feel weird. Though, this one never caused nausea, unlike NOW. Save the money and go with Bluebonnet or Solgar.

Excellent product, it was nice to find a double strength zinc in a low exipient product to help meet your daily zinc requirement without the worry of other exipients that may not be so good for you.
