If you've never had licorice tea, it does not taste like licorice candy, which is not really licorice flavored. Real licorice is just sweet, with a pleasant, but not strong, flavor. It has herbal benefits, and also works as a natural sweetener. You can add a bag to a cup or pot of regular tea to sweeten it. I only wish this were organic.

It's sweet without sugar. I have never tried a licorice tea beafore, so that was a surprise. Tastes nicely, but too sweet for me.

Licorice is one of my favorite teas

I use the licorice tea as a sweetener for other teas. I normally do not use sugar, honey or any other sweetener when drinking tes, therefore I use this for added flavor. It give it a good taste and smells good. I gave it 4 stars because there is actually another brand I like more than this one.
