WHOLEFOOD vitamin C supports your immune health. But it has another quality often overlooked by dermatologists and the skin-care industry. Vitamin C could very well be one of the most underappreciated beauty enhancers in the world. Not only does it protect your skin from free radical damage to help keep your face smooth and even-toned, it also helps your body create something that is the telltale marker of youth – collagen. Topical collagen is too big to be absorbed through the pores in your skin. It’s much more effective to supplement vitamin C. And if you can get enough, you’ll start to notice a difference in the elasticity and overall feel of your skin. Vitamin C will help keep your body producing healthy, normal amounts of collagen for fresh, glowing skin, hair and nails. But don’t buy cheap synthetic “vitamin C” pills which are derived from GMO corn. Nearly all the "vitamin C" sold across America right now is derived from GMO corn. It's typically called "ascorbic acid," and nearly 100% of the ascorbic acid used in the natural products industry is derived from GMOs.

Real vitamins are the living ones derived from whole foods and that are maintained in their natural states. These contain the necessary cofactors and enzymes which help the body to process and use them, and they provide the most benefit to the body. The vitamin C found in Wildcrafted Camu Camu Berries, Wildcrafted Rose Hips and Organic Acerola Berries does not exist as ascorbic acid, but as a complex that includes bioflavonoids and calcium. You will notice that now most vitamin C supplements contain added bioflavonoids and calcium because over time supplement manufacturers have learned that the body doesn't utilize pure ascorbic acid without the rest of the vitamin C complex present. But nature had it right from the very beginning. If you want vitamin C, go with Madre Labs, Madre-C, Vitamin C which is whole-food concentrates. You'll get plenty of vitamin C in a full-spectrum package that gives you antioxidants, phytonutrients, and cancer fighting compounds all at the same time.

Like that the Vitamin C comes from real food and is not isolated synthetic ascorbic acid I searched for a real, natural Vitamin C. This is it. Wholesome tasting and feels good. I buy it repeatedly being a whole food and happy using a whole food supplement.I'm using it with a combination of other whole food supplements and experiencing improved health. Use this product in conjunction with the madre labs immune punch bought at http://goo.gl/7byp6 and so far in the few months ive used it, I have not been sick. A wonderful source of all natural vitamin c. You also get all of the other benefits from the fruits it's made from. It is not all that great tasting and a bit gritty, but I don't mind because it is such a healthful product. Recommend another power-packed antioxidant complex at http://goo.gl/eByim, featuring standardized extracts from fruits, especially berries, as well as herbs, combining more than 25 plant-derived free radical fighters with a full 500 mg per tablet of the antioxidant vitamin C. The reviews about the container seeming a bit empty are right- probably this is to make it look larger and to allow for larger labels...BUT, you must judge it by weight! The weight is accurate- just over 6 oz. This is a decent amount if you get a good price on the product. The ingredients are of high quality, the taste is great, and you'll feel energized after consuming it. It's good for cold/flu season. Click on my profile if you liked this review, See My profile too! Healthful uses of Madre C

I credit Madre C w/ helping me through the flu season without incident of flu. I'm an acupuncturist and am exposed to many people and I'm in close contact. A few of my clients have had a cold or flu and I have been fine. I use Madre C in creative ways using my understanding of foods and beverages and the healthful nourishment that they provide. For example, Rooibos tea is said to be the drink with the most antioxidants. Vitamin C has a synergistic relationship with antioxidants, increasing their absorbability. So, I steep rooibos tea, in my crockpot on low for several hours. I allow the rooibos to cool, add a scoop of my Madre C to about 12 ounces of it with some agave nectar and I have a delicious youth-giving health tonic that might help me leap tall buildings in a single bound (more easily, if I had the ability to do so). I also steep dried orange peel (mandarin, organic of course), cloves, cinnamon sticks, and allspice (all mild to moderate anti-microbials) in a crockpot. I don't worry about measuring anything. I let this mixture cool (or I drink it warm). When cool, I add Madre C for a designer ant-imicrobial and immune boosting delicious tonic. I mix agave nectar in booth drinks. So we can design for youthfulness and plan for our health ourselves using Madre C or other Madre Lab products as a base. Find delicious ways to live better.
