Since l-taurine is an essetial amino acid taking 500 additional milligrams of it may seem unneccessary. Caffeine (coffee) is non-essential and uses up you body's small resevoir of naturally created l-taurine so supplementing it prevents your body from suffering the deleterious effects of caffeine (the coffee crash, I sweat when I drink any amound of caffeine.) I'm not a doctor, but this is what my research has lead me to as what to do, and for me at least it works.

I gave this to my mother to use in combo with B6 after she weaned off anti depressants. She reports no mental fog or depression, and is loving the increased vivid dreams and dream recall. Mums' happy and so am I!

I feel the effects of this supplement almost immediately and it clears up the foggy feel in my head quite well.

my over all sense of well being has increased after adding this to my line up. I have noticed that if I take it on an empty stomach I get a really strange, cold sweat,nausea, speedy, kind of sick feeling. As soon as I eat something regardless how meager it may be it seems to cool it out. One of those for what it is worth things. Def. seems to have a positive impact.
