This is listed as a "light roast", and that is really being generous. While it has an undeniable hint of peanut flavor, I would say it's more like a "raw" peanut taste....which is definitely not my preference (as one who likes peanuts/peanut butter). The texture could be better as well, as it's somewhat course and lumpy. Instead, I recommend the peanut flour offered by Byrdmill (www.byrdmill.com). They have a "dark roast" that is much closer to the real flavor of peanut butter (and it has a much finer texture).
