Requa is the charcoal my naturopath recommended

Posted by MeredithD1-3303302 From Oregon on Oct 25, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

The person who was my naturopath a couple of decades ago recommended Requa brand charcoal for me when I was having liver imbalances. It is an 'adsorbant," and it will attach to other nutrients in your system, so you should proceed with caution. I learned at a later time that charcoal is used in some hospitals when someone comes in having consumed what could be fatal doses of alcohol. In this liquid form, pumped in at great volume, it has saved lives. Don't try this at home; just take it under advisement. It will cause you to eliminate toxins via your bowels. You may experience loose movements with black in them. I think it is wisest if you use charcoal on the advice of a naturopath or other health professional who is familiar with its benefits and who can determine if it is right for you.
