This is great, and makes for a delicious breakfast. I did find though that it caused a lot of gas issues...

Helps me get all the nutrients I need. I'm also following the thrive diet. I think the flavor is mild. Probably the mildest green drink i've ever had. I think even straight up rice and soy protein has a worse taste. You also get 2 extra servings with Natural flavor.

I have been using 1 scoop a day for a little over two weeks. My body is loving this stuff! I have lots more energy. It also has taken care of my cookie and junk food cravings so I've been losing weight. I've been reading other reviews and I want to address some of the issues people have brought up: Taste: Of course it is going to taste bad if you mix two scoops with nothing but water in a shaker bottle! Ick! Here's my favorite smoothie recipe: Almond milk or water, ice, 1 cup mixed berries, 1 banana, 1 scoop powder. Using a blender (and adding a banana) makes the consistency nice and smooth. I don't like gritty shakes either--if you don't blend it enough, it is gritty. For those who don't eat bananas, I tried using an avocado, and it wasn't bad. It mixed in nicely with the mixed berries. The ginger pear recipe on the myvega.com site is also good. Everyone has different taste buds so the best thing to do is buy the sample packets and try the different flavors. Someone said that the berry flavor was disgusting so I didn't buy it. I went for the "safe" flavor, "natural." Well, I later tried the berry flavor, and I really like it. I wish I had bought that in the first place. In my opinion, the chocolate flavor is just ok. Not very chocolatey to me. I've been making smoothies out of it using almond milk, blueberries and bananas then adding 1 tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder and a little bit of agave nectar. Also, I would stick with just 1 scoop. Enjoy! : )

I was very acidic and had to find a way to become PH balanced. I also had osteoporosis and I was under medical prescriptions which tend to have an acid producing effect. Most reading materials and articles on the internet indicate osteoporosis can result from the body being too acidic. I have been taking Vega Sequel Optimizer along with eating more greens for over 8 months and now have a good PH balance. Although I still have osteopenia, my condition has greatly improved. I hope to have even better results with my next bone scan. iHerb has the best prices for the Vega Optimizer.

I've been using this product for my son who is autistic and is also allergic to dairy, soy, peanut, and tree nuts. Because he is a very picky eater, as most parents of autistic kids know, I'm sure he lacks some essential nutrition. I first found this product at Whole Foods and have been using it for over a year and a half now with my son. I put the powder into his soy milk and put his smoothie into the mixture. He accepts it. I went to two Whold Foods and couldn't find it in the past month. That's when I found iHerb carries it.
