Product Overview

Description

  • Non-GMO
  • From Birch Tree††
  • Xylitol Low Calorie & Low Glycemic Sweetener

†† Not Genetically Modified.

XyliSmart xylitol is a health sugar substitute. It may reduce the risk of tooth decay in the mouth, which is promoted through frequent consumption of in-between-meal snacks that are high in sugar and starches. XyliSmart xylitol is known as a low-glycemic index (GI) sweetener due to its slow absorption into the bloodstream, which does not result in rapid changes in blood glucose concentrations. XyliSmart xylitol looks and tastes as sweet as sugar, but with less calories and without any of the downside of sugar, and delivers a cool refreshing aftertaste.

Suggested Use

As a sugar substitute, add in amounts satisfactory to your taste. For optimal anticavity benefits, take 1 teaspoon 3 to 5 times per day.

Other Ingredients

100% pure xylitol (from birch tree).

Good

I use it for baking - no bitter taste in the baked food. It is less sweet than regular sugar and it is OK to me. I rate 4 stars because it is not cheap, and the container is way too big for the content so it is a waste.

Best xylitol, I've found so far

Posted by Reviewer2985632 on Sep 11, 2015

The best xylitol, I have found so far. Taste and dissolves just like a real sugar. It is a little less sweet than sugar, but that doesn't bother me. To give you an idea of how sweet it is, I use 1/2 tsp of real sugar in my morning cup of coffee. To achieve the same sweetness, I need to use about 3/4 tsp of xylitol. There is no aftertaste or artificial taste you usually get with stevia or other sweeteners. The jury is still out on how safe xylitol is, but that also applies to stevia, other sweeteners and sugar as well after all.

My only sweetener!

Posted by 4883002916343555203 on Sep 03, 2015

Xylismart is pure birch sugar alcohol and is as sweet as table sugar. It is the only sugar I use because it does not deplete ones' health. The bad things sugar does to the human body are too numerous to list. I only wish there was a five pound bag size I could get!

Xylitol

Posted by Reviewer1434258 on Mar 20, 2015

Xylitol in the mouth prevents cavities. I add Xylitol to my drinking water, using it as a mouthwash also. At night I use a special mouthwash which contains Xylitol. I mix glycerin, Xylitol, and Oil of Oregano and put about 1/4 eyedropper of the mixture in my mouth at bedtime. This moisturizes the mouth during the night and sterilizes the teeth. I no longer have cavities. (Do not swallow Oil of Oregano.)

Xylitol from Birch trees

Posted by 5131968137659725874 on Dec 03, 2014

I have used xylitol from birch trees and other xylitol from different sources, I have only noticed improved digestion and oral health with the xylitol from birch - and so has a friend of mine. I really think it's great that xylitol from birch can be bought here for a fair price (about equal to high quality xylitol sold where I live) and I'm not finding the larger sized granules from this one a problem for my uses for it (coffee, tea and cocoa). I notice no aftertaste whatsoever - tastes just like cane sugar. I would defintely recommend this to people back in the States.
