The Tao of Tea, 100% Organic, Pine Smoked Black Tea, 4.0 oz (114 g)45 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Fujian Province, China Famous Lapsang Souchong (Pine Smoked Black) originates from Mount Wuyi (on the northern border of Fujian province with Jiangxi province, China). In 1999, Mount Wuyi entered Unesco's list of World Heritage Sites, both natural and cultural. It is a well known biodiversity conservation zone of Southeast China. In making Lapsang souchong, the leaves are withered, pan-fired, rolled and oxidized before being fully dried in bamboo baskets over burning pine. The result is a very smoky, but smooth, enjoyable flavor. Compliments well with sweet and spicy foods.
The Tao of Tea
Like the Tao, the art of tea is universal. We began our work with tea in 1997 to be a connecting thread for tea culture. Practicing the art on a daily basis in our teahouses in Portland, Oregon, we are a group of tea enthusiast from different backgrounds and cultures. We travel, learn, take delight and seek to offer pure leaf teas with great flavor, artistry and soul. Our reward comes through actions that help people's lives, sustain the art of tea and promise a healthy environment.
We recommend using spring water, at well below boiling temperature (170 F). Brew one level teaspoon of leaf in a 12 ounce teapot. Steep for three and a half minutes.
100% organic black tea leaves.
