- Natural Moisturizing Factor in Human Skin
- Keep Skin Fresh and Hydrated
- Paraben Free
Twinlab Na-PCA is a PH-balanced, concentrated solution of the sodium salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, a natural moisturizing factor found in human skin. Na-PCA is synthesized from glutamic acid, a nonessential amino acid.
This skin contains natural moisturizers, the most important being Na-PCA. Old skin contains only about half the amount of Na-PCA as that found in young skin. The ability of skin to hold moisture is related to its Na-PCA content. It is water, and not oil, that keeps skin soft and supple. Na-PCA helps keep skin moisturized, improving its appearance and giving it a moist and youthful glow.
Since it will not clog pores, you can feel comfortable using this natural moisture source in many ways to keep your skin fresh and hydrated:
- Use to moisturize under make-up or skin cream
- Use under shaving cream for a smooth, nonirritating shave or after shaving for dry, sensitive skin
- Keep spray in refrigerator to refresh and cool down on summer days
Spray directly on body. Do not spray into face. For face application, spray onto hands and apply to the face.
For external use only. Best if used by date shown on the bottle.
Water, sodium PCA, phenoxyethanol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder, ethylhexylglycerine, eucalyptus globulus oil, cetyl hydroxyethylcellulose.
iHerb Customer Reviews
I've been buying this since 2008, but this time around the packaging ooked different, and my skin desn't feel as smooth when using it. I don't know what happened, or if they changed anything. It's still good, but I thought it was better before. *update* Ok, so I found out what happened:( They added phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerine which is even warned about by the FDA. Won't be buying again. In so bummed:(
A product that my entire family and close friends used for years, and now they changed the ingredients along with the new packaging. The original ingredients started with Pure Aloe Vera gel, and had only 3 more ingredients, including na-pca. The new packaging now lists many more ingredients including phenoxyethanol, which is considered toxic in makeup and skin applications. Well, Unless TwinLab switches back to the original ingredients many people, from my group of family and friends will no longer be using this product. Very sad.
