This brush would be best suited for powder highlighter (which I don't tend to use), but what I do love to use it for is to clean up under the eyes if there's a little fall-out from dark eyeshadows. It removes the shadow without disturbing your make-up.
I use this brush mainly to get as much colour on my eyelids as possible and it works wonderfully!
I've never tried the MAC 217, but this is supposed to be a great dupe for it, and I'm incredibly happy with it, I can't imagine that the MAC 217 would be better than this one.
Basically everything you will need to create even the most advanced eye make-up is in this set, it's a great one!
This is a great brush to keep in your purse, that's why I bought it and it didn't disappoint. I'll use this if I'm wearing a dark lip colour and just put the lipstick and the brush in my bag and I'm good for touch-ups.
This brush is huge! But it's great if you want to put powder on your face quickly.
Even though this is a blush brush, I find that it is great for powder, since it's a little less dense than most powder brushes, and I do prefer brushes like this to set my make-up.
Great for stippling or buffing your foundation or concealer on your face. It's a great brush.
This is a great set for the price and I would definitely recommend it, but some brushes are big and they are not that great for applying eyeshadow looks that have very defined lines (like for instance in the crease), because the brushes are quite big and too fluffy for that.
This brush is probably not my favourite powder brush, I prefer brushes that are less dense and a little smaller, but as far as retractable ones go, this is a great one.
