The taste is very fresh, the texture is very smooth, and there's just enough cane syrup that the butter is neither bland nor noticeably sweet.

Stone grinding makes this butter extremely, perfectly smooth - even smoother than I expected and much smoother than almond butter from other manufacturers. It also makes the butter extremely runny. It's still made of hard almonds, though, so the mouthfeel is a little chalky and sticky, and I'm not sure if I prefer it to a coarser grind. One more thing that's unusual is the flavor - it's a quite strong almond flavor, presumably from ground almond skin, with cherry pit notes.

The taste is just great - fresh almonds, a little sugar and salt, and a hint of maple making it more sophisticated. Unfortunately, the texture is creamy only in the sense that the butter spreads easily. It's quite coarse, and there seem to be small crystals of either sugar or salt. Still, on balance it's very good.

Сама соль пахнет довольно сильно, но в еде почти не ощущается. Да и аромат не особо восхитительный. Пробовал и с яичницей, и с макаронами - как рекомендовано на упаковке.

This butter is smooth, creamy and thicker than others from Dastony. The taste is very fresh and pleasant. Overall, it's comparable to cashew butter from Artisana, maybe a little better.

The flavor is quite strong, but has all the nuances you should expect from high quality natural vanilla. Simply superb. You don't need to add much, so the taste of alcohol is undetectable - even in desserts you're not going to heat up. One small detail: the cardboard disk in the cap can stick to the bottle, so wipe the bottle's mouth after use.

This was my first time buying bonito flakes so I can't compare, but I liked the flavor - fresh, a little smokey and appetizing. Along with kombu, it was a great base for fish stock. Made a big difference in miso soup. I also tried making "second stock" by simmering used flakes, but the result wasn't good - probably because the flakes are very thin, so they give away most of their taste to the first stock. So don't bother.

The flour is blanched and the taste is fresh and pleasant. It made muffins exceptionally tender, even though I substituted it for just one tenth of wheat flour. For best results add a little almond extract (e.g. Simply Organic). One thing I didn't like is that the jar is only about 3/4 full, which increases the shipping weight.
