I started with Egyptian Magic a couple of years ago which I used mostly on my hands and legs to combat dryness. I never found it to be magical but it served the purpose of hydration. I find EM doesn't have a "raw" scent or texture, perhaps because the product is not organic. Madre Magic is much purer in comparison; the color of product I received has a greenish tone, from the flowers the bees pollinated during the season the product was produced. Color will vary by season depending on the flowers pollinated in a truly raw product. EM is always the same buttery color with every jar I have purchased. However, the consistency of MM is sometimes gritty, like raw shea butter. This is from the beeswax, which will change the consistency from smooth to gritty depending on temperature. I like these unique characteristics because it means the product is pure. I mostly use MM on the dry areas of my face and body mixed with a small amount of raw shea butter. Having written all that, Mama Medicine's Sweet Bee Magic beats them both due to the actual healing properties. This stuff makes my face glow, *immediately* stopped the stabbing pain I sometimes get on the waterline of my eye from allergies, and has an amazing, soothing property that EM and MM do not. So if you're trying to choose between the three, I recommend Sweet Bee Magic. It is in my bathroom, purse, on my nightstand... pretty much everywhere I may need it! I slather it on my face all the time. (I have dry, peri-menopausal skin).

Only wish they carried the 2 oz size as a little goes such a LONG way. I doubt I will use it up by the expiration date listed since I rotate my skin care products. For reference, I am in my mid fifties with dry, perimenopausal skin and need nourishing, heavy creams and oils to combat dryness. I use this on my face and neck mostly, a small amount layered over an oil like Argan, Baobab (which is in this cream), Rose Hips or Carrot Seed. I have pretty tolerant skin and have had no adverse reactions to this product. If your skin is oily or combo, start with a very small amount and add more if needed. It is extremely heavy, hydrating and soothing. The texture is spreadable despite the shea butter content, due to the oils in the cream.

My dry, peri-menopausal, living in the desert skin loves this Night Cream! It is thick, pure, hydrating and imparts an immediate glow to the face, relieving dryness and improving texture. A definite repurchase!

I purchased the Face and Eye Creme and also the Night Creme. Even though I like them a lot, they were not hydrating enough for my dry skin without layering an oil on top. So I purchased the Skin Food to compare and it is by far the heaviest of the three. All of the products contain the same base ingredients (The essential oils vary in each creme); the major difference is in the proportions of these ingredients. The Face and Eye Cream is the thinnest in consistency - the cream and oil separate due to having the least amount of emulsifier (Beeswax). The Night Cream is about 2X thicker with no separation of oil and creme. The Super Skin Food is twice as thick as the Night Creme and contains the highest percentage of Beeswax. The cremes will keep for about a year and a half if stored and handled properly (clean spatula or fingers in the jar and kept in a climate controlled environment). I use all three cremes at different times of the day and my skin is glowing with a more even texture.

This skin food is genius! It is not a moisturizer for my dry, mature skin but a first layer prior to applying moisturizing creams and oils. The texture has a gel-like consistency and I have noticed different batches vary in thickness since it is a completely natural product. The texture of my skin has evened out considerably since using Bee Yummy - combined with dilluted apple cider vinegar as a toner my face is so much brighter and glowing. Those who note breakouts are most likely having a reaction to one of the ingredients... perhaps the st johns wort oil or balsam fir needles if one is not allergic to bees. However, bee pollen itself can cause a reaction depending on what flowers or plants the bees pollinated. If your skin reacts, it is best to discontinue use. I don't believe in the purging process; either your skin tolerates a product or it doesn't. As for miraculous results, if a person already has good skin then chances are miracles will not occur and you may notice subtle differences like smoother skin, better texture or a decrease in fine lines. Those who write reviews claiming a product yielded dramatic results most likely had flawed skin to begin with and thus noticed substantial, immediate changes.

I am usually not a lip balm type of girl, and am trying to stay away from products that contain petroleum. I needed a product to apply over matte lipstick which dries out my lips. In an effort to switch to more natural products, I tried a sample of this and immediately ordered a full size pot. The texture is a balm which needs to be warmed between the fingers before applying. It leaves your lips feeling so smooth and hydrated without feeling too "waxy" or slippery, softens and smooths. Love it!
