My hair loves most of Giovanni products! It is inexpensive and so light that I can use it as a leave-in too. It smells good and it has a lot of protein in it. Plus, it's very slippery which is a PLUS for my kinky coily hair! I like to add a little of this to my homemade deep conditioner or to boost my leave-in conditioners. Very good product!
It's a light protein conditioner, which I like. However, I don't like the scent! It doesn't smell foul or anything like that. It's just a really strong, overwhelming scent that "I" don't like. As for my hair, it makes my hair feel rough. And it doesn't seem to neither strip nor moisturize it. And since I've only used this product twice, I am not certain if my hair is being nourished or not. However, I have noticed that my hair's porosity seems better. Therefore, I only use it once a month as part of my protein treatment. After I rinse it out, I make sure to deep conditon w/ a "moisturizing" conditioner. Btw, if anyone wants to know, I have very kinky coily hair that's medium-thin and coarse so this product is good for us too, and it doesn't weigh it down.
I needed a sulfate-free shampoo. so I bought this product because of all the good ingredients listed in first. Also, it has a light minty smell and tingles a bit too, which I liked a lot. As for my hair, it felt really clean. It was so clean that I was afraid it was stripped of its natural oil. Surprisely, my hair didn't feel or appear stripped... Just clean. It didn't frizz or anything. However, it did feel a lot less soft than usual, but I just deep conditioned it like I always do.
