I was using a basic Hair, Skin & Nails supplement from my local pharmacy for years. I felt I needed a little more now that I'm over 30 but I can't afford expensive serums or moisturisers for my skin. I was getting the occasional red splotches with stress or lack of sleep, and without a weekly nail strengthening regime my long nails would flake and turn brittle. Since taking 2 of these before bed at night I can now stretch my strengthening regime out to once a month and the white tips of my nails grow incredibly long very quickly. The red splotches on my face also appear to be gone. I use this alongside my HS&N supplement but the two together are working wonders. Very pleased with this product and it doesn't taste awful under the tongue at all.
This product is fantastic to give your makeup primer a bit of a helping hand. Cleanse face, moisturise, then with a clean makeup brush apply to areas of the face that tend to be problematic for your foundation. Prime then apply makeup for a really flawless finish. It helps to prevent your face eating your makeup. I have large pores that haven't disappeared no matter what I've tried. This really helps me a lot in that regard as well, though I've learned how to properly apply foundation to hide the pores. (*Hint* Use your concealer brush in circles building in layers. Plenty of youtube tutorials to show you how. The EcoTools brush is perfect for this - also sold on iHerb!) I have been using MoM for over a year and was unable to keep purchasing locally until I found iHerb. I will now continue to use with great success. It doesn't dry or irritate my sensitive, sometimes oily face and the bottle lasts absolutely ages.
Within 2 days of rinsing the first sponge it was covered in mould. The sponge also looked to deteriorate while doing so. Little bits of the surface fell away and it was no longer smooth or soft. Instructions said they could be gently washed in water every few uses but I don't suggest it. The though of not washing a sponge and continuing to use it doesn't sound particularly healthy for the skin either. I sit my sponges on a steel soap dish that drains for two reasons: 1) The dish can be put into the dishwasher regularly to remove bacteria, and 2) The holes drain away moisture to prevent mould build-up. Therefore they have ample chance to dry out after I rinse them which is generally after every 3rd/4th use. I don't consider the weather a factor as it isn't overly humid (it's quite dry here in Australia) but the sponge just turned grey and black. I've thrown that one out and I'm very reluctant to use the second one in the pack. I'm saving it for special occasions now as I'm expecting to have to throw it out after a few uses. The $4 sponges from my local Priceline pharmacy are much better value. Yes, these blend beautifully, but they hold moisture and suck up your foundation much worse than others. Perhaps I'm storing them incorrectly, but they aren't wow-factor for me so I doubt I'll be buying these again. =( Hope you all have better luck!
I originally purchased this for my husband to try to relax him before bed in the hopes that he may snore less. It sadly didn't help with this purpose, and we're still struggling to diagnose why he's snoring. But I decided to give this a try myself, to try to calm myself before bed. I have a particularly stressful lifestyle but I don't do well with things like meditation or yoga as I'm restless and overthinking a lot of the time. This helps to stop my racing mind enough to drift off into a deep enough sleep to get proper rest. I start with 1 and it wasn't enough but 2 on nights when I have no other option tends to do the trick. I deducted a star because these are fairly pricey for only 1mg dose. I bought 1mg knowing I could add if it wasn't enough. I suggest starting at 2mg/3mg and breaking in half if needed. These might be great for teens or older folks who don't have as much of a tolerance, though. Overally happy, just not a very big dose for the price.
I don't sweat a lot anyway - even with strenuous exercise - but this product works better for me than other roll-ons on the market. It dries fairly quickly and the smell lasts all day. With other roll-ons the smell doesn't last and I sometimes feel moist after just a few hours. This product keeps me dry into the evening. My step-mother uses it and she has little success, though, as she's a heavy sweater. She sticks with it for the smell though. She uses all natural products, too, so I question whether she's just not cleansing the skin before use enough. Just something to keep in mind. I highly recommend this myself.
