Have been combining Jarrow "Neuro Optimizer" with Planetary Formulas Bupleurum Calmative Compound (a.k.a. Happy Traveler by other makers) to great benefit for my father. Lowered anxiety + brain food has helped his overall function. Now almot 87 y.o., of my father he has had cognitive and short-term memory decline for 4-5 years. Initially "diagnosed" as Alzheimer's...which it is NOT. He has had functional benefit from: no prescription meds (A-cept made his feet burn and did not help), removal from MOLDY HOME, moved to stimulating community plus these supplements and others. TRIED MANY...this formula has several key ingredients WITHOUT the potential "over-stimulators" like phenylalanine, ginkgo, high niacin, and a few others which are more tricky...these ingredients are fine for some people but not for others. The relative simplicity of the N.O. formula is an advantage AND price/daily dose at about $1 compares to closer to $2/daily for over-complicated foirmulas.
If you need dark brown - this is excellent. I would prefer light brown but I have tried their light brown formula twice - years apart and it is just not up to snuff. I recommend that you experiment with how long to leave it on your hair - I leave it for many times longer than the label instructions and love the staying power of the result while avoiding chemical "fixers". I try to be judicious about how frequently I wash my hair for the 3-4 weeks between Surya Henna treatments. Sometimes I "wash" my hair just using conditioner not shampoo and this works well in extending the life of each treatment. This same company has a color fixer conditioner in their product line that can be used for this purpose...I have only used the sample they included as a bonus in the box but it seemed to work well. I use SH Dark Brown to cover gray and the slight difference in how it takes to my gray hairs versus my brown hairs results in a very natural look - slight variations rather than a flat dyed look. Its unfortunate that Surya Henna prices have gone up tremendously - a few years ago this was below nine dollars and they raise it tremendously every year.
This product effectively helps me fall asleep and sleep well with a bonus: The return of early morning dreaming which I enjoy and have missed in times of poor sleep. I am a 150 pound adult and I tolerate higher doses of many supplements. Through experimentation, I have determined that 4 capsules about 30-minutes before sleep is optimal in times of high activity and stress during the day. This is a 1 gram dose. (Doses of up to 3 grams daily are generally considered safe but you should confirm your own dose with your health care professional.) One minor drawback is that I am more drowsy when I first wake up but the trade off of good sleep is worth it for me. On less stress-filled days, I may take only 2 capsules per night. I have compared the 1 gram dose of this brand of GABA to both a 1 gram and a 1.5 gram dose of the N_w 500mg caps. That brand just does not have the same effect at either dose level. Neither KL nor N_w specify if their GABA is naturally derived from the fermentation process that utilizes Lactobacillus hilgardii. I plan to ask this in the new "Questions" feature. All I can say is that this one works for me and the other does not, even using a similar or higher dose. I have not yet tried the Th_rne brand of GABA 250 which does use Lactobacillus hilgardii fermentation to produce the "natural GABA" that has the research to support its benefits. Unfortunately, unless the Th_rne brand allows me to consistently cut my dose by half or more, it is not affordable for my nightly use. If/when I ever try that one, I will update this review. ++cj
I could not give this a 5 star for the following reasons: 1) So many "fillers" and a few know to be difficult for the human liver and 2) As this product has a good comprehensive approach -- plus the bi-layer technology -- and good reviews, I took a chance on it to try for myself and to possibly share with my clients (I am a health practitioner.) It did not work for me but here is why: A small number of people are sensitive to Valerian and have a "hyper" rather than sleep response to it. I happen to be one of those. Just want to spread awareness in case you are struggling to find a sleep remedy that works for you, you may want to try one of the many that iherb carries which do not use Valerian.

Some great health benefits of NAC have been established by clinical trials but I take this to help reduce hair loss due to low thyroid function -- a friend claims his hair is much fuller and curlier with this product. Subjectively, I feel it is helping. Plus, my hair cutter said "Your hair is thicker!" when I went in a few days ago. (She knew nothing of my supplement efforts, her reaction was a truly spontaneous comment.) I also take extra biotin and either Ayurveda bhringaraj herb or TCM foti plus Pure Synergy "Bone Renewal." All of these benefit nails, teeth, hair and bones. The only reason I cannot give this product five stars is because it contains magnesium stearate, as most of the Jarrow line still does since they have not yet altered their factories to remove it from the process. This is especially unfortunate for a liver-detox support product. N.A.C. as precursor to the super antioxidant. Internet claims: "It may aid in the prevention of heart disease, boost the immune system, improve metabolism and promote hair growth. " Many people with lung and breathing issues respond well to it because it has been clinically proven to thin mucous and open breathing passages so it is sometimes prescribed physicians for this purpose. ++ c j

POSITIVES: I gave this the highest rating because of the great results for a great price. It has several natural extracts in addition to the calendula itself. I have been using this cream exclusively as my face cream for 3-4 years, maybe more. Its hard to find in stores and I am so glad iherb is carrying it. I am in my early 50's and I find it to be moist enough for aging skin and yet it never clogs pores or causes break-outs. Price for value is excellent. They make clear that it has no PABA or petroleum in gredients. I use the iherb review system a lot myself and feel it is important for other shoppers to see a good product "sort" to the top of its category based on customer ratings...even if there are flaws that each buyer must take into consideration.. DRAWBACKS: I wish the remaining "chem-lab" ingredients were better explained and justified. Even better would be a reformulation to avoid all controversial ingredients. 2017 UPDATE: I recently tried this cream again and was again impressed with how it smooths and heals skin surface. I do have to be careful putting above my eye level on a hot day. If it runs into my eyes while sweating, it stings a little. Please note that the site Skin Safe rates this product 91% Allergen Free = "SkinSAFE has reviewed the ingredients of NatureWorks Calendula Cream - 4 Oz, and found it to be FREE of Nickel, Paraben, Lanolin, Topical Antibiotic, MCI/MI, and Gluten."
Of course this is great for feet but I have been using this as my FACE cream for almost 3 years. It is fantastic. It does remain only very slightly sticky after it has been absorbed into facial skin but for me the overall result is worth it. I am 61 years old and I never wear make-up. I get spontaneous compliments on my skin frequently. I have a friend who is 65 who still has "peaches and cream" beautiful skin and she also uses this as her face cream. The comments about the smell are a mystery to me...I have a very sensitive sense of smell and I have no issues with this product's smell...I find it quite neutral in smell.
Gentle but effective. I like the smell. You only need about 1/2 a teaspoon of the scrub plus a little water. My skin never feels irritated or over-scrubbed if I use it like that, with gentle circular strokes. I leave it on for a few minutes while I finish my shower, like a mini mask, and then do a final rinse with cold water. It leaves my face slightly moist, I have even forgotten to put face cream on after a couple of times, though most of us will need to also use a creme after. ++cj
Good flavor, not over-roasted and organic! ++cj
This oil can be taken by the teaspoon or used on food. The taste is mild. Beyond the anti-oxidant benefits, in a world were there is a need for vegans to watch our omega 6 intake to insure that our ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 consumption does not get out of balance, this product is very handy. I follow a low-added-oil, low saturated fat, low cholesterol whole food plant based diet so it is very useful to have an oil that can be directly added to some dishes to improve "mouth feel" without excessive omega-6 or saturated fat. ++cj
