Like most people today, I'm on a tight budget. However, this doesn't mean that I cannot incorporate fair trade and organic products into my lifestyle. One must pick and choose which products to buy to get the most out of your dollar. Iherb helps me do just that. I may be just one person, but the people who produce fair trade, organic, and non GMO products need our support! If even half of the people you know started buying a handful of fair trade, organic products, imagine the impact it would make!

I had tried Alaffia lotions a long time ago, when they first came on the market, and I didn't like them then. They seemed to just sit on my skin. They must have changed the formulation at one point, because now I love them. It all started when I used a tester at Whole Foods, and now it has almost spiraled out of control! This cream smells delicious - a combo of spicy from cloves and spicy from lavender. It may not sounds good, but it really works as a scent. I have am sensitive to artificial scents, so Alaffia products have been a godsend because they use all natural scents. The cream is pricy, but I find that it lasts a long time because I just need a dab - it is very concentrated, but it soaks into my skin very quickly. If you are hesitant to shell out the money, find a natural foods store and find a Tester bottle of Alaffia lotion. Once you've decided that you love it, come back here and buy it on iherb. You can feel good because you are supporting sustainable beauty products and community improvement in Togo!

My hands get very dry when it is cold in the winter, so I purchased this shea butter soap in hopes that it would help. Indeed it did. The shea butter seemed to help seal the moisture into my skin. This particular soap smells very earthy, which I liked. Since I was using this soap as a hand soap, I didn't need the exfoliating grains, but they didn't bother me, either. All in all, it's a good, gentle soap. But remember, as with most super moisturizing soaps, you can't leave this sitting in water in a soap dish, or it will melt really quickly. Make sure you have a slotted soap dish, or pebbles in the bottom or some way to keep the soap from sitting in a pool of water. I keep the soap relatively dry between uses, and I've never had a problem with longevity.

I'd tried the BABIES AND UP line and thought it was pretty good, but after trying this on a whim, I'm realizing that the CURLY TO KINKY line is better suited to my hair. This cream seems more moisturizing and it does a better job helping my curls 'clump' together. When I wrestle my very curly hair back into a ponytail, I put more of this on and use a boar bristle brush to smooth my hair out on top. This cream also smells like a raspberry tart or some other tasty fruity thing I'd like to eat. If you have very curly hair, give this a try.

I use this cocoa powder as drinking chocolate. I had previously been using one of the common grocery store brands. I was amazed at the difference. The Rapunzel was richer, smoother, just better tasting. I don't know if it tasted better because it was organic or non alkalized, or what exactly, but I'm hooked. I also like that it's fair trade and organic.

If you are looking for a healthy alternative to brown rice, this is it. It has a great, lightly nutty flavor and more fiber and vitamins that white rice. The grains stay differentiated so I love using this for a pilaf. It is also fair trade, organic, and non gmo. You really can't go wrong.

I apply this as a leave-in conditioner when my hair is still damp from the shower, and it really keeps my hair moisturized. You get so much product for the price, and it smells great. It's also fair trade, all natural, and the profits on sales go to a good cause. It's a holy grail product for me now.

I have the bad habit of forgetting about my tea when it is steeping, and therefore over steeping it. As a consequence, I frequently have bitter cups of tea. The first time I tried this tea, I forgot about it while it was steeping, but the tea still tasted amazing - well rounded with a hint of bergamot - not bitter at all. It takes a good quality black tea to handle oversteeping, so this one makes the grade.

I really enjoy this tea - it seems relaxing like chamomile, but it has a lemony green flavor. It is difficult to describe. I also find that I need only a tiny amount, less than a teaspoon, to make a whole pot of tea. This container will last for a long time.

I like this brand of eye color because it doesn't have fillers nor micro particles that can slip through your skin. This color is a great olive that looks almost like a golden green, if that makes sense. It has a bit of sparkle, but not so much that you cannot wear it during the day. I am often sensitive to eye color (many brands make my eye lids puffy), but I've had no trouble with any of the Earth Lab cosmetics colors.

I love this minty smelling soap. It is really multipurpose. I use it as a handwash and to clean my kitchen sink and counters. When diluted with water and put in a spray bottle, it cleans my windows and is streak free. I just love it.
