I spray this after I cleanse and tone, before putting on my moisturizer. I think it helps my redness and calms my sensitive, acne prone skin. This might seem odd/TMI, but I also spray it on my armpits after I shave them. It helps with the shaving irritation and itchiness. My skin type is oily, sensitive, and acne-prone. I have both acne scars and active breakouts.
It does the job, but it does not spread easily. I find myself having to use quite a lot in order to get it through my thick, curly hair. I don't find it particularly hydrating or drying. It is completely no frills. Since it is unscented, it does smell strongly of glycerin. I didn't mind (and I didn't notice it lingering), but if you hate the smell of glycerin, keep that in mind.
I use this toothpaste in the morning, and a flouride one at night. This toothpaste cleans teeth nicely and has a refreshing mint taste. It helps bad breath. The texture is definitely different than toothpastes I had used before, but it isn't bothersome. I have sensitive teeth and it does not bother them.
I have sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin. I have both acne scars and active breakouts. I think this toner helps calm breakouts, and makes my skin feel nice and clean without being tight. The rose scent is quite strong, but it does dissipate. I don't notice a difference in my oil production or blackheads, but it does soothe current breakouts and does seem to help prevent actual pimples.
If I were rating this compared to all shampoos, it would be three stars. But just comparing it to natural shampoos, this is definitely top of the pack. It smells nice, gets my hair clean, and lathers pretty well. I do find myself having to use more of it; it doesn't seem to spread as well as other shampoos. I also find it slightly drying. It is hard to explain; I just don't entirely love the way my hair feels after. If I use this every time I shampoo, I can also feel some build-up. As such, I rotate this with a more clarifying shampoo. My hair type is thick and curly. I do not use heat, or really any styling products, so my hair is not damaged.
I wish I could give this 4 and half stars, as I think it is just slightly better than its shampoo counterpart. It spreads well, moisturizes well, and smells really good.I do notice some buildup if I use this every time I wash my hair, so I rotate it with another shampoo/conditioner pair. My hair type is thick and curly. I do not use heat or styling products, so my hair is undamaged.
The packaging is adorable, and it does the job of getting laundry clean. However, I find that it makes laundry noticeably not as soft. I tried using less, and it didn't help. I don't want to have to add laundry softener every load, so I now only use it for towels and bedding (I add laundry softener to bedding anyway).
I am not a brush snob; I have other E.L.F. brushes that I use and love. This brush is just awful. It is not soft and tends to apply products patchily. It does not blend well. It is the perfect size for using as a contour brush or a blush brush, but since it does not blend or apply smoothly, it is worthless.
