Natural, pure calm

Taking theanine is no substitute for living a clean life, eating well, and exercising, but it certainly helps. When I feel "on edge" or agitated, 200 mg of theanine helps me relax without feeling sleepy or tired. I prefer this brand because it is pure, no magnesium stearate or other fillers. Some medical studies suggest that overuse of supplements is actually bad for your health -- this may be perhaps because of fillers, stearates, and so on. All consumers should insist that food and supplement companies stop using fillers and processed additives.

Healthful Sweetness, to replace sugar

I use this as a sweetner along with stevia. Make lemonade with the juice of one lemon, about 6 ozs of water, a teaspoon of stevia and a teaspoon of Inulin FOS, and it brings out the lemon flavor, is sweet without being syrupy and so delicious that even my teenager loved it.

Calming and Healing

Holy basil calms my thoughts and relieves irritability during stressful times. I tend to be a bit on the adrenal side of things, easily irritated, and holy basil doesn't make me sleepy if I take it during the day, yet it helps me relax and sleep better if I take it at night. I find I'm in a better mood and less emotional as well. To top things off, Holy Basil also lessened my asthma symptoms and I feel more healthy. If I could have only one herb, this is it! The Paradise Herbs brand is also excellent; I get better results with it than other brands so it seems to be more potent. As always, I'm very happy with iHerb's service.

Most Potency at 750

Country Life's BioChem N-A-Cysteine has the most potency per capsule compared with the other brands here on iHerb. Guaifenesin for bad chest congestion was giving me bad side affects and not really helping... I was desperate, willing to try anything, got online and looked for help. I sipped a glass of unsweetened lemon water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in it, took some NAC, and am feeling much better. Not cured, but at least breathing comfortably without the dizziness and negative impact on my kidneys. Remember to cycle isolated amino acids (one month on, one off, or as recommended by HCP) as extended use can affect protein/amino acid synthesis in the body.

These are good in that I feel them working right away (increased energy) and they are a complete and balanced combination of vitamin B. But, I do notice they do give my skin a temporary orange tint (as some B-vitamins will do)... perhaps this is the pure niacin at work. These are good in the morning but if I take in the evening, I have trouble sleeping. If you need more energy due to inadequate diet, these should do the trick. No reason to pay for more expensive vitamins!

I thought I loved the regular orange Badger lip balm, but this one is even better. The coco butter seems to heal my lips, they stay soft with just a couple applications a day. I've been a restless sleeper for a long time and have tried many products to help. Tryptophan has brought the best results... I can fall asleep and sleep well without feeling "hungover" in the morning. The side effect is I'm more refreshed, calmer and happier throughout the day. I couple this with L-Theanine and/or relora when I'm especially stressed. I don't use it every night but I do find that, if I don't take it on a regular basis, my restlessness and sleeplessness return and I'm more stressed during the day. I've tried other labels for tryptophan, but of the brands iHerb carries, Source Naturals has been the most consistently potent and effective for me. Plus, the price cannot be beat.

I think I like the Source Naturals, 200 mg tablets better than these, although both work well enough for helping me relax enough to sleep or to take the edge off a stressful day. Tablets can be broken in half so I can have less or more as needed. 150 mg is sometimes too much for the day yet not enough for a sleepless night.

Not only does this tasty treat have good nutrition in it, it's really filling. This with a glass of water for breakfast, and I'm still satisfied hours later. Oats are a good-for-you grain, much better for you than wheat, too. We try to avoid carbs too much in this culture and end up simply eating the wrong ones when our bodies really need more good carbohydrates. Like Mom always said, though, oatmeal is good for you. I want to buy these in bulk on iHerb please!
