About Me

I live in an idyllic rural setting well away from the city pollution that caused me to develop numerous health problems. Products I am purchasing from iherb are playing a large part in helping me make slow but steady steps towards regaining my former healthy state.

Insect Repellent

Posted by iJenNZ on Jul 19, 2012 | Verified Purchase

Used in an electric essential oil diffuser, this product is an excellent natural alternative for insect repellents.

Many uses.

We use this product for multiple uses such as dish washing, floor cleaning, wiping benches etc. I love the fact that it contains only natural ingredients and no toxic chemicals. One use for which it excels is hand washing. I work it up into a lovely creamy lather and massage it into my hands. This is a super fatted soap which means excess fats have been used in its production and when used as a hand soap, this excess means it will moisturise your hands. I find I no longer need to use moisturiser on my hands. If using it in a soap dispenser though it needs to be diluted one part soap to two parts water otherwise this concentrated soap will clog the dispenser. We prefer to use the Lavender Dr Bronner's soap in the kitchen due to the disinfectant properties of lavender.

Better flavour

I much prefer to buy ORGANIC turmeric as the flavour is far superior to non organic turmeric.

Good Product

I use both this product and Source Naturals DigestActiv. Because I do not tolerate the capsules, I empty the contents of capsules and mix it in with food. The DigestActive can impart an unpleasant flavour to some foods and I find the Daily Enzymes are a better product in that regard. This sample size provides a convenient sized container for use away from home.

Ideal for Bathing the Dog.

Posted by iJenNZ on Aug 14, 2012 | Verified Purchase

I purchased this product as a mild and unscented soap to bath our long haired dog. With the acute sense of smell that dogs have, I feel it is not fair on them to use a scented product which could be irritating to their highly tuned olfactory system. When I used it, I first added a small amount to water which I then poured over her. I was impressed with the way it lathered up and dispersed through her coat very quickly but even more impressed with the way it rinsed out of her coat in what felt like almost an instant when I applied the rinse water. Usually I spend a long time making sure every last bit of soap is removed but with this product it was achieved very quickly. Overall the time to bath the dog was reduced by a substantial amount and the result when dry was a beautifully glean and glossy coat. As a super fatted soap this product also acts like a conditioner. Another bonus is that it only took about a fifth of the amount of soap to bath her as compared to the dog shampoo I had used previously making this a much more economical product for bathing the dog. Very impressed.

Vanilla is Prominent

We have bought this product to give as a small present to friends and have had positive feed back from those we have given it too. The vanilla scent is a lot stronger than the orange.

Dropper

Posted by iJenNZ on May 12, 2017 | Verified Purchase

It is very convenient to be able to take a vitamin D-3 supplement in liquid form as it is easy to add to food. I do wish however that NOW would bring back the screw in dropper. Using this dropper, it was easy to add the dose you wished to take however with the new dropper where you need to invert the bottle it is not easy. It takes forever if you wait for a drop to emerge from the bottle. If you give the bottle a downwards shake often you get more drops than you want. I never had a problem with the screw in dropper separating as indicated by another reviewer.
