Many people have asked what I buy on iHerb, here are some of the products we like with a sentence or two review. We are a healthy family with two young children in Hong Kong. Feel free to contact me on Twitter or Instagram (LantauMama) if you have any questions :)

Maybe it is the non-airtight bags, but I have had bad luck with these dates - very dry, stringy and some have what I think is mold. No other dates (from other brands) I have had are like these. As a result, I no longer buy these, and buy dates locally instead.

iHerb doesn't have any raw carob powder, so I get this one instead. It is really excellent. I am sensitive to caffeine, so this is a great alternative for homemade 'chocolate' I make a lovely carob bar using this, and use it in smoothies and other recipes. Be aware carob is NOT a chocolate replacement - it is a different taste, a bit sweeter and just different. If you expect it to be like chocolate it will not be. Homemade carob bar - almond butter, coconut oil, coconut butter, carob powder, coconut flakes, chia seeds, hemp seeds, a bit of pink himalayan salt and anything else you want to add - yummmmm

My morning smoothie usually has coconut water kefir or coconut water. When I travel, I bring my powders, chia seeds, and blender ball bottle to make my smoothies on the go. This becomes one of my critical ingredients to give it that nice coconut water taste. What I do is: 1. make up a zip lock baggie for each day I am away, and premix everything for one smoothie, then 2. dump it in my blender ball bottle and add water and 3. shake and enjoy! Without this, they are really too watery and not as tasty.

I really like Earth Circle Organics, and usually use their Bali Cacao Powder. Once they introduced the Ecuadorian, I tried it and now use both depending on what I am making - it has a very different, richer, 'darker chocolate' taste than the Balinese cacao. When I put this in raw chocolate it produces a dark balanced flavor.
I live in HK, we have loads of Asian foods, and Japanese foods in the super markets - but a lot are very processed or have extra ingredients that I don't care for. This is a great Shiro Miso (white miso) that we use not just for soup but for making some vegan dishes too.
Okay, usually I am lazy and make 'chocolate' by using coconut oil and raw cacao powder. BUT, when I really want to do it right, I use this stuff - and wowowow.
I work for an NGO, and our scientists are in the field studying wild animals - they cannot wear anything scented, so I bought them this (and the conditioner). Highly recommended for anyone that cannot have any fragrance for medical, personal or professional reasons.

This makes my face feel very clean without damaging or drying my skin. I use it with my clarisonic every day.
A cup of this at night, and I really do get sleepy and sleep well. I usually actually get about 2-3 cups out of one tea bag and start sipping an hour or two before I want to sleep. Sleepytime never did this for me, but Bedtime hits the spot and relaxes me.
I like the way this holds the curls - I have fine curly hair, and this really makes my hair look nice. I put it on my wet hair and either scrunch it up, or if I have more time make ringlets with my fingers. I like the smell. I wish it came in a pump bottle - that is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars, the tub is really a pain and quite messy.
