I used to try a lot of cleansers with things that were too irritating...I never really think of myself as having sensitive skin, but thinking back, a lot of things were way too harsh. This is nice and basic, no drying/stinging/burning/itching, just gentle and effective.
This brush sheds a little more than some I've used, but it's fine. Wish the handle came off. I use it for dry brushing before showering.
Less expensive than Bragg's...I switched to this one for all my body care applications and save the Bragg's to eat, not that you couldn't eat this one too.
Not so great as deodorant.
Smells great, but the alcohol is irritating and it isn't a very effective deodorant for me. Also kind of expensive for small amount. Nice as a perfume though. Probably wouldn't buy again.
I feel like the only one not raving about this, but I didn't find it that great. I think my skin was really pretty bad when I tried it though.
This is effective, and I like the texture, but this formula has dimethicone and I think the previous formula had parabens. Also just a long ingredient list and not sure all that needs to be in there. I think a lot of the hype about all the "chemicals" is unfounded but personally I still prefer to look for something a little "cleaner".
not what I wanted
Not the traditional African black soap I was looking for. This is a hard solid actually BLACK bar of soap, smells overwhelmingly sweet and fruity. It was okay as far as regular soap goes, but wouldn't buy again, and I wanted real African black soap.
Read so many reviews praising this stuff, but wasn't good for me. Far too drying and irritating! I had oily skin with sometimes severe cystic acne. Finding the root cause of the breakouts (food sensitivities) and using less/gentler topical stuff was better.
Thick, sticky, waxy...did not like this, felt like it just sat as a coat on top of my skin. I now use unrefined raw bulk shea butter that is silky, absorbs nicely, not like this yellow gloppy stuff.
I like Carlson brand. Just noticing it's a little misleading, as it says may contain up to 30% other fish, but the front says Norwegian Salmon Oil as if that's the only source. Better than some though, that don't tell you much about the source or purity testing, etc. I take two a day. Good for a lot of things.
