I follow a ketogenic lifestyle -- low carb, high fat. Like to try lots of options, so I tend to skip around from brand to brand. Regular customer of iHerb. Perhaps a little addicted.
I've tried most of the MCT oils on iHerb, and this one is the best by far. It's priced well, and the size of the bottle makes it easy to handle (unlike some that are too large or have squeeze tops). There's nothing special about it, and that's what makes it pretty good. No coconut taste, no bad aftertaste. I put 2-3 tablespoons in my coffee every morning, as well as in my protein shakes, so I go through it quickly. After trying out other brands, this is the one I've settled on as my go-to for MCT oil.
I tried this brand of MCT oil because I thought the squeeze bottle might be convenient. However, the plastic is so thick that it takes a really strong grip to squeeze out the oil. If you measure your oil, that means it's hard to control the flow and it may splash right out of the spoon. In the end, I just had to take the top off and pour it. Nothing particularly wrong with the oil itself. Same as most MCTs, but for the price and bad bottle design, it's not the best buy. (The Jarrow Formulas clear bottle is priced better, for what it's worth.)
I drink a lot of water every day, but because that gets boring, I usually have at least one serving of this per day for a little variety. The grape flavor is pretty good (haven't tried others), and it's a nice boost of energy when I don't have time for coffee. One little gripe is that the powder is VERY thin, so be careful with it or the dust will get all over your hands and table. Since it turns purple upon contact with moisture, it stains things easily. You get used to it, but watch out when you first buy this!
My doctor recommended I switch to a form of B12 from Methylcobalamin due to poor absorption of the other form, so I started taking this a few months ago. Will go back for blood tests this spring to see if there's any change, but for now I'm happy with these. Only issue is that the capsules oxidize quickly, so I'm wary about putting them in my pill dispenser. I fill my vitamins weekly and live in a humid climate, and these capsules start turning a darker shade of orange within a day or two. I make sure to keep my pill case inside a sealed plastic bag to prevent this, but wish that weren't an issue.
I used to use Stridex as a pre-teen/teenager, and was happy to come across these on iHerb. I hadn't realized Stridex even existed anymore! As an adult, I use these as a lazy way to clean off makeup or clean my face when I'm in a hurry. I don't have an acne problem, so I can't speak to the effectiveness at controlling pimples, but for folks with rosacea, I can say these pads haven't had any bad effects on my skin.
Melatonin doesn't really differ much from brand to brand except for whether it's in capsules or tablets. These small capsules are easy to swallow, and the price makes them an easy choice. Happy enough to buy them again and again.
Pleased with this product so far. I’ve been drinking it before and after workouts and noticing a little less soreness. Don’t love the artificial flavor, but it’s tolerable. Likely to buy again. To women, I almost bought MP’s ladies version, but realized it was not a good deal. The pink version is basically just half the quantity of this product, with the exact same ratio of aminos per serving, and women are instructed to take only 1 scoop (versus 2 scoops of this one). MP seems to think it’s cool to charge women nearly twice as much per serving, even though it’s essentially the same product. Choose this one and just take one scoop per serving — you’ll get 60 1-scoop servings for just a little more than what you’d pay for 30 servings of the pretty pink version.
I’m partial to the cinnamon bun flavor, and didn’t love this one right away, but now I rather like it. Will buy again.
Was excited to try this flavor, but it’s just too artificial and bears little resemblance to pumpkin pie.
This product has two prongs rather than the cocktail stirrer style of most small drink mixers, so it causes drinks to splash up more. It will work in a pinch, but it’s probably best to cover the top of the cup with your hand to prevent the contents from splattering your clothes and anything nearby.
