I love the price and quantity of this chitosan product BUT UNFORTUNATELY I'm not crazy about the added chromium, which I find unnecessary. I wish you would sell pure chitosan pills by itself. Chromium supplementation is a controversial topic as true chromium deficiency is extremely rare. The widely claimed benefits of chromium supplementation are largely unsupported by the scientific community. Studies have shown high levels of chromium leading to DNA damage. Also, a high dose of chromium, 600-2400 mcg per day, may cause anemia, thrombocytopenia, hemolysis, hepatic dysfunction, and renal failure. Just 2 doses of NOW Foods Chitosan already supply way too high a dose of 600 mcg. For some reason, cheaper dietary supplements, especially those used for blood glucose regulation or weight management usually contain chromium as an ingredient, and usually at an amount much higher than the suggested daily recommended intake, despite the lack of positive scientific studies to support chromium supplementation. I also take other nutritional supplements and at least 2 of them already contain some chromium, which is more than enough for my needs. By adding Now Foods Chitosan, I am unwillingly further upping my chromium intake by a few more hundred percent of the RDI, which will likely end up toxic to my system in the long run. So unfortunately, even though I love almost everything else about the NOW chitosan, just the unnecessarily added chromium alone means I have to look for other alternative brands that sell simply pure chitosan. It's such a pity.
It was a good try for a sublingual form of gluthathoine and the price of the product is also very reasonable. Unfortunately, the tart taste of the gluthathoine is still over powering for me and the peppermint flavour hasn't been able to mask it well enough. Aside from that, if others are able to tolerate the taste, this is a very good alternative for consuming gluthathione. As we know it's poorly absorbed in the digestive tract so gluthanione in capsule or pill form will unlikely work. If you can't afford intravenous glutathione injections, or would rather not take NAC, then sublingual seems to be the only way left.
Nice competitive price for Rose Hip Seed Oil. Though if I have any complaints at all, it's that NOW Foods needs to find a better packaging for this product. The bottle leaked a little oil when it arrived. Thankfully, iherb anticipated this and was thoughtful enough to place it in an additional ziplock bag so it did not transfer to other items and was easy to clean up. Another gripe about the bottle is that the oil is extremely hard to dispense from the dropper insert. It would take ages before even one drop comes out. As suggested by other reviewers, one can remove the plastic dropper insert altogether. However, I haven't done that yet as I do not want a pool of oil on my hands every time either. I would still have preferred a more "controlled" method of dispensing the drops so if NOW Foods can source for a more suitable packaging for this oil that would be great. For example, your avocado oil comes in a different type of bottle (flip top bottle) that is much easier to dispense yet still be able to control the amount of oil I want out. Just a thought.

This is the most expensive brand available on iherb, but you do get what you pay for. One of only 2 brands that actually absorbs completely without leaving a sticky film on your skin and I've tried them all. It checks all the boxes - measured dose, fragrance free, non-greasy etc. Pity about the price though, so to justify paying for this I alternate this with the Source Naturals brand, another wonderful cream that's much cheaper but just harder to dose.
Efficacy-wise this brand works but because the cream takes forever to rub in and left a sticky film that I felt the need to wash off this was a deal breaker. Their newer Progesta-Care Mist product (more like an oil-spray) is an improvement in a smaller package so I switched to those. However, for others like me who prefer a better absorbed cream with a clean skin after feel I would actually recommend you try the Source Naturals brand or the more expensive Metabolic Maintenance brand, as these are the only 2 products out of all I've tried that disappeared into my skin easily. Both are available on iherb and will become my only go-to brands once my Progesta-Care bottles are used up.
Veggie washes are not available in my country (EU) so I'm glad they have this on iherb. Perhaps the reason is that veggie washes are not scientifically proven to really work compared to just water and EU regulations are stricter. Still, it provides me with peace of mind. I already mostly buy organic fruits and vegetables if possible but certain things like my favourite Turkish peppers can't be found organically grown and Turkish shipments to Europe are always laden with pesticide so I feel better when I've used Citrus Magic on them. The spray bottle is very handy.
Not a regular reviewer on iherb but this deserves one! I've tried several brands before this and while they all worked fine and had other advantages like price or a measured dosage pump for example, they all took forever to rub into my skin and left a yucky sticky film that I absolutely hate and couldn't wait to wash off right after putting it on (which defeats the purpose). The progesta-care brand was the worst for me at this. For this reason I dreaded it every day when it's "progesterone cream time". The Source Naturals brand on the other hand, is a dream that magically disappear into my skin within seconds. The rosemary scent disappears soon after as well. I no longer have to walk around top or bottom naked in my room for half an hour waiting for the earliest chance to wash the residue off my skin before I put any clothes on! The only reason why I tried so many different brands before this one was because this didn't have a convenient way for me to measure a dose and I sorta have to eyeball 1/4 teaspoon. Well what did I know?! This was the best of them all! I shouldn't have judged this book by its 'cover' ;-)
Thanks for carrying this herb. I'm using Salacia as part of a preventative regime to balance my blood sugar and lipid levels as it's been clinically proven to aid in that area. I can't honestly tell whether this product really works since I don't have any major health issues plus I'm concurrently taking several other nutritional supplements that I've done thorough research on to maintain my health. The fact that it's clinically proven is good enough for me. Sometimes, no news is good news.
I take NAC only to counteract any negative effects of paracetamol/acetaminophen use when I have migraine attacks. This sustained released version means whenever migraine comes knocking on my door, I can simply pop one together with my paracetamol and have my bed rest with peace of mind knowing it will work for the next few hours without the need for a re-dose.
