hello sweetness, goodbye heartburn

This is the best deal I've seen anywhere, online or in a store, for stevia extract packets. I use this as a sweetener in my coffee and in smoothies. In coffee, I think it's just as good as any other sweetener, except for the last sip in a cup, which always seems to have a concentration of sweetness in it. I guess it doesn't dissolve quite as well as other sweeteners, but as I say, that only seems to affect the last sip. I've discovered another benefit of stevia that I didn't expect: it prevents heartburn! I used to take medication every day for severe chronic heartburn. Now I never get heartburn anymore, as long as I have a few packets of stevia every day.
This is a really handy way to carry stevia around with you. I was skeptical that the tablets would really dissolve quickly and easily, but they do, even in cold liquids like iced tea. I recommend it.
Good value, handy
This is a simple, reliable food scale. Capacity is up to one pound (marked in half-ounce increments) or 500 grams (marked in 10-gram increments). Pretty standard arrangement: has a dial you can manually reset to zero in case you want to measure your food in something other than the included food tray, and the dial needle is protected by the clear plastic dial face, so it won't get knocked around. The scale fits into the tray for easy storage. Works well, good price, saves space.

I chose this brand because of its rating on consumerlabs.com. I think it's a pretty good deal at iherb.
Great value and a little boost for tight control of blood glucose
I used to buy Now Foods brand stevia in packets. I like the product, but I started buying it in the 1-oz. bottle instead for 3 reasons: 1: to eliminate the maltodextrin, but only because I have type 1 diabetes and am on a new kick to minimize consumption of foods that can interfere with extremely tight blood glucose control (after reading a great book, Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution)--otherwise I think the tiny bit of maltodextrin in the packets isn't really an issue. 2: to try to be a little more "green" by choosing the option with less packaging, although I'm really not sure that a single plastic bottle really is a greener choice than multiple paper packets in a paper box. Hmmm... 3: to save a little more money. My doubts about reason number 2 aside, I am very satisfied with this version of the product, and I recommend it.
