This is great stuff. High nutrient, very fresh, tastes good even in water. I feel better immediately and it is one of the staple of my health program. Either I take it alone or mix it with Greener Grasses and Spirulina Manna.
This improves a bit on the taste of unflavored Maca, but it helps to get it down. Some people like it better dry; I saw one kid eating it off his fingers. I take 1 tsp. in the morning with 1 tsp. white ginseng powder in water to wake me give me an even blood sugar to start the day and I feel immediately more awake and my eyes clear. It would probably taste a lot better in a smoothie. I have noticed that sexual intercourse is now almost painless for my menopausal body (it was painful before), which could be a result of either or both of these herbs. I know some women take several tablespoons of this at times to ease menstrual cramps or hot flashes, but I haven't tried taking that much yet.
These are quite delicious; not hard like some other brands. Being very high in protein and anti-oxidants, I can handle the sweetness better than many other sweet fruits.
I find the Nordic Naturals Cod Liver Oil tasty in dressings, in guacamole, on food, etc. The smaller bottles are better for freshness. I've had to throw out Carlsen cod liver oil because it went bad before I could finish it. I am very careful with fish oils, taking them out of the refrigerator only for the few seconds it takes to put them on the food or in my smoothies; never heating them.
I like to chew these, though they give me a green mouth for a while. They taste pretty good, unlike the NOW product. Good in the mid-day when I don't have time to mix my green powders or on the road, to stave off hunger (low blood sugar) or give some more energy and well as all that great chlorophyll and other nutrients.
I learned about these from Lalitha Thomas's book, Travel Heathy. They don't taste great, but you get used to them, and if you are not eating sweets, they even can be a treat. Good way to get energy and stave off hunger (low blood sugar) and get nutrients, especially when on the road when you can't get nutritious food easily. I keep them on my desk so I don't go to the kitchen when I want a goodie.
