I've used an organic micellar cleanser I can get here in France for about 2 years and I really like it. Why change? you ask. Well I always like to try new products and I trust Derma E. So, as vitamin C seems to be the new buzz word for anti-ageing skin care I thought I'd try Derma E's Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water. Oh dear! I wish I'd stuck to what I know. I've got normal to dry mature skin and this cleanser made it feel tight and over-cleansed as though I was using an anti-acne cleanser. That's probably because of the quality vitamin c content as I believe that tightens the skin. I can't fault the quality of the product but it just doesn't suit me. It cleans well but the smell is somewhat antiseptic so maybe of more use to a younger, oilier skin.

Revolting

Posted by iHerb Customer on Dec 17, 2016 | Verified Purchase

I'd been using Natural Calm Magnesium and was pleased with it but decided to try the Garden of Life variety as it also has pro biotics. Oh boy! Big mistake as it tastes disgusting. It doesn't fizz or dissolve very well and gives a very thick head on the drink. I found it difficult to swallow because of the very unpleasant taste. I'll persevere until the Natural Calm I've re-ordered arrives as it does help to get me to sleep. But I definitely will not re-order Garden of Life brand. You may like it as tastes differ but I've made a mistake with this brand.

Lovely sweet treat

These have a mild lemony flavour but with a creamy taste which makes them that little bit different and definitely worth trying. It tickles me that the slight typo in the description has termed them GERMS!!! Tastiest germs I've ever eaten!

Wouldn't call it a serum

Posted by iHerb Customer on Sep 15, 2016 | Verified Purchase

I know that something in a bottle, jar or tube will never have the same results as the surgeon's knife or Botox but you hope it might smooth things out a bit. I decided to give this Collagen Boosting Peptide Serum a go because I like and trust Life Extension and use quite a few of their supplements and also I've been reading a lot that peptides are the guys to have on your side. However, to me a serum is a lightweight, thin fluid which quickly disappears into your skin so you can apply moisturiser. This is a thick, clear, somewhat tacky liquid which seems more like those peel off facial masks in texture. It didn't seem to sink into the skin very fast. I've been using it twice a day for three months and, quite frankly, I can't see the slightest difference. There again I'm 57 and the furrows I was hoping to lessen are deeper than the Grand Canyon! Perhaps if you're younger and start early you'll see better results. I'll give something a bit less expensive a go just to keep my skin a bit smoother as I think my wrinkles are way beyond redemption.

They've had a make-over

I've been using Doctor's Best High Absorption Mag Citrate for a while and have been perfectly happy with them. Tablet size fine and easy to swallow and no problems with laxative effect. However, I've just opened a new pot and the first thing to notice is the tablet shape has changed. Still about the same size but the ends are more rounded and there is now a score/break line across the centre. No problem I thought until I tried swallowing it. They now have a tendency to get stuck in my throat which is where my biggest moan comes about. I don't know what they've chosen to coat them with now but it tastes disgusting! It has a fishy taste and is decidedly unpleasant. I'm very sorry Doctor's Best but I've already ordered an alternative brand as I'm disappointed with the changes you've made to what was a perfectly OK tablet.

Disgusting

This is supposed to give you minty, fresh breath. Well, there is a vague taste of mint but this is soon overwhelmed by a somewhat indescribable flavour which is not pleasant and has a hint of plastic to it. I expect there will be some people who will love the taste but I think it is revolting. It doesn't half linger as well and further tooth cleaning doesn't get rid of it. Down the plughole for the rest of the bottle!

Glad to have them back but.....

I was devastated when Sesamin capsules disappeared for so long as I'd been using them in the fight against belly fat and found them a great help. So it was a big Hurray! when they re-appeared and I've been fortunate to place an order whilst they've had their brief spells of being in stock. However, I'd like to point out that iHerb needs to update their description. The new formulation (as of 25th Oct 2013) NO LONGER contains sorbitol (great!) and there is Vitamin E included at a rate of 2iu per serving (ie one capsule) and the sesame oil reads as 998mg per serving but still standardized to 500mg sesame lignans. I've only been taking this new formulation since 18th Oct 2013 so I've yet to see if they perform their magic on my spare tyre but one tiny downside to the new capsule is I'm now getting "sesame" burps! Still, I will persevere.

Great Store Cupboard Standby

Posted by iHerb Customer on Aug 31, 2012 | Verified Purchase

I now keep three or four of these Chicken Curry Pastes in the store cupboard for when I can't be bothered to cook a curry from scratch. I've adapted the directions though and soften an onion first, then brown the meat, (it works just as well with lamb or beef as well as chicken) add the paste and fry for a minute or two then add the liquid. I've used water but have also found that it's even better with tinned tomatoes or natural yoghurt. I did try coconut milk but that made it incredibly rich. If there are any mushrooms or other veg you like these can be popped in with the liquid. Obviously, lamb or beef will take longer to cook than chicken and I prefer to cook them in the oven. My husband, who is a bigger curryholic than I, gives these pastes a mega thumbs up. They have been life-savers in the curry wilderness of France!!
