I used some of this flour to dredge meat in a stew and the flavour turned out wonderful. It didn't thicken the stew as much as regular flour though. I also made a pie crust using my standard recipe. The flavour was very good. The raw crust was a bit challenging to work with and finally was more crumbly than flaky. I'm sure with some recipe adjustment and practice this will make a nice crust. Definetly worth more experimentation.
This Gluten free bread is the best I've found so far to satisfy my toast and sandwich longings. I use the regular oven method to make it and it took me a few tries to get the recipe fluffy, but now it makes a nice loaf. The texture is great. The flavour is also good, although I can tell there is corn flour in there, which is not my favourite. The corn flavour is very slight tho. This bread does not crumble and get dry like rice bread sometimes does, so I really like it. I do tend to always toast it before I eat it. I do recommend this product!
I really like this mix. The pancakes always turn out very good. Muffins are also very easy to make. Texture is a bit grainy (think light corn meal), but I happen to enjoy that whole grain feel. Everything turns out fluffy. One of my favourite weekend treats!
