I love that this reduces my consumption of disposable products (no more dog digging in the trash bin!). It costs less than a year's supply of 'sposies (even cheapo-store brands). The package says for 1 year use, but if cared for properly, I bet it could go atleast 4x longer than that. Easy to use (sometimes the first use of the cycle feel weird, but body adjusts immediately). I love that it frees up my time, especially having a toddler to chase after, and I don't have to think about it all day. Whether I'm light or heavy, same cup, same routine and at the end of the cycle I wash, boil and put away for the month. I only had leaks twice and that was due to incorrect insertion (rushing around that morning) and forgot to empty another night when I was heavy. Yes, It feels like nothing, I could easily forget it was there! I don't believe in taking OTC pain meds, and since using the Diva Cup, I can say I NEVER had bad cramps that needed something. Most importantly, I feel more in touch with my body and my cycle, which is great to know if you're trying to conceive. For your first time I recommend practicing either before your cycle or in the middle when you are not so tender. For me a warm shower was just the trick. There are cup resource blogs out there if you feel hesitant or nervous.
I can't find this larger size locally. We use this to refill our self-foaming KMF soap pump 1 part to 6 parts water.
... since our son just wants to suck it off the toothbrush instead of brush with it. Yes, it has flouride, but no other colorings/flavors/fillers. We use an ittybitty amount, so this tube has lasted well over a year. I should start using it up myself before it expires!
I bought as an insurance factor for the longevity of my Diva Cup. It seems to clean the cup and be gentler on the silicone and my hands than regular body wash (I had to use soap in an emergency since I was already in the shower and the Diva Wash was in the closet). The scent is mild and leaves the cup squeaky clean. The tiniest dab is enough to lather up the cup with a splash of water, so this bottle will last a LONG time, if it doesn't expire first (no nasty preservatives). I should probably use as a personal wash too--OH, and it's gentle and soothing to wash up after underarms are waxed.
still has plastic, but neat idea.
Even my husband who prefers gels can handle the texture.
