I've had mixed opinions on tea tree oil in general. Some brands are labeled as TTO, but are mixed with other oils to temper the smell and harshness of pure TTO, so are essentially useless. One brand of 100% TTO that I tried fulfilled the criteria of being 100% pure, but I saw no significant improvement on my skin. This brand, I'm really liking so far. I use TTO primarily on acne, and I've found that if I dab a little bit on a spot before I go to bed, it is GREATLY diminished in the morning (no, it doesn't completely disappear in one day- in my experience, no product can do this- but it helps it shrink before it gets too big or noticeable, or leaves a red mark that lasts for weeks). My skin is not sensitive at all and is very oily, so I can handle dabbing 100% TTO on my face. If your face is sensitive, I would do a patch test or dilute the oil with something else.
After randomly buying a bar from a health food store, I was immediately hooked on the entire Nubian Heritage line of products. Their soaps are the ONLY things that my fiance and I will use as bodywash. The reason this one stands out to me is THE SMELL. As soon as I opened the box, I was greeted with the most heavenly aroma of chocolate. You may have to hold yourself back from trying to take a nibble. Yes, it leaves my skin soft and healthy, as all their bars do, but this is one of the best smelling soaps I've ever come across.
I have heard about dry skin brushing in the past, but never pursued it. The more reading I did, the more curious I was, so I went ahead and bought this brush. It's really great so far. The bristles are hard but they don't hurt, except for where my skin is thinner, like upper arms and stomach, but I'm getting used to it. The handle is great, but the brush head also comes off so you can grip it in your hand if you'd like.
My best friend recently had a baby, and while she was pregnant, she tried to switch to as few questionable chemically-laced products as possible. Regular deodorant/antiperspirant was the first to go. She switched to this and raved about it. I was a little skeptical, but I tried it and so far, I'm really liking it. It leaves NO marks on my clothes and doesn't have ANY scent (I don't want my armpits to smell like Fresh Morning Dew). The only minor issue is that you have to wet the stone before you use it, but it really only takes a second. Definitely worth a try.
I have very fine, curly hair, so finding a conditioner that wasn't so heavy it would weigh down my hair, but was potent enough to tame my curls, has been very difficult. I've experimented with every single drugstore brand you can think of, several salon brands, home remedies, etc. Once I tried this conditioner, however, I've never used anything else. It is the perfect consistency, has NO silicones or SLS, which is very important to me, and really seems to penetrate and condition my hair. I have no idea if that's what it's actually doing, but my hair looks and feels great!
