I bought this supplement to help lengthen my menstrual cycles, which are fairly regular but too short. I am also taking the Yogi Tea Women's Energy (Dong Quai) tea, red raspberry leaf tea, B vitamins and evening primrose oil, and keeping weekly acupuncture appointments. So far, the vitex supplement seems to be helping (less PMS, more fertile cervical mucus), though I can't draw any firm conclusions since I'm doing other things at the same time. The quality of the supplement seems very high. The packaging is lovely, too. I can't say whether it is effective, but it feels comfortably gentle to me.
My husband and I are trying to conceive, and I read that evening primrose oil can help with increasing fertile cervical mucus. My cycles are on the short side, and I haven't been producing stretchy fertile cervical mucus. I've been taking this for one cycle now, and I have noticed a slight difference already - enough to keep taking the supplement for a few cycles to see if the progress is real or not. I'm doing other things at the same time (vitex and dong quai supplements, B vitamins, and acupuncture), so I can't conclude that EPO deserves credit for changes in my cycle that I am seeing. That said, it seems gentle and beneficial so far, so I'll keep using it. Some people say that EPO should only be taken before ovulation, but my Chinese medicine doctor thinks it is gentle enough to take throughout the cycle. As with all measures (conventional or alternative) to improve fertility, women need to monitor their own reactions to supplements to see how they affect their individual cycles since we're all different.
I am using evening primrose oil as a facial moisturizer before bed. It feels good going on, it is not too oily, and my skin feels nice in the morning, even in the very, very dry climate where I live. I haven't had any problems with break outs using evening primrose oil. It seems like a nice, natural and affordable alternative to pricey commercial moisturizers. One small bottle like this will last a very long time since you only need a few drops if you're using it as a facial moisturizer.
I bought this piece of wool flannel to use with castor oil as a warming pack on my abdomen to help with menstrual cycle issues. The flannel is very nice in quality, and it is much softer than I expected. The size is perfect, whether unfolded for more coverage or folded for less, so it should suit many different body types and sizes. I would buy this again and am happy to recommend this to other customers.
I bought this tea to help lengthen my menstrual cycles, which are fairly regular but too short. I am also taking vitex, red raspberry leaf tea, B vitamins and evening primrose oil and keeping weekly acupuncture appointments. So far, the dong quai tonic seems to be helping with PMS, though I can't draw any firm conclusions since I'm doing other things at the same time. The tea tastes pretty good. It has an herbal medicinal flavor, but it is pleasant and not bitter like Chinese medicine formulae. I normally use 1 bag per day, sometimes 2 if I want a stronger flavor. Good with honey and on its own.
This castor oil seems to be very good quality, though it is the first I have used. I bought it to use with wool flannel as a warming pack on my abdomen to help with menstrual cycle irregularities. The oil is thick and sticky, and it has no odor. The price seems reasonable for the quality.
