My husband and I have been using this form of C daily for several years. Since it is fat soluble, it seems to stick with us better, providing healthy protection. We also do not have to worry about the liquid-filled capsules dissolving easily in our stomachs, which used to be a problem with hard-packed pills.
This really complete E complex has truly helped us be much heatlhier than when we took cheaper, simple E products. Since switching to this product a few years ago, my memory has been much sharper, among other benefits.
We wanted high quality natural supplements without sugars for my 3 year old granddaughter. Based on the list of ingredients and the reviews of other parents, we selected these. Although some reviews had stated that these NON-CHEWABLE pills were "itty-bitty", they really are NOT that small. Small, but NOT itty-bitty! Our 3 year old immediately chewed the first one she tried and they taste TERRIBLE! It was hard to get her to try a second one after that--but she braved it and tried to swallow it. It took some experimentation, but we finally discovered that we could put it into her "squirt-yogurt" container and then give her a big initial squirt down her throat. So this is working! There was a review by a mother who discovered that peanut butter worked for her kids, but mine is allergic to peanuts. We tried a spoonful of yogurt, but she could not swallow the pill that way and ended up spitting it out. We tried water, but sometimes she gagged on them because they are a little too big for a tiny tot. These excellent quality and complete supplements are worth the initial hassle of experimentation of how to get them swallowed.
My granddaughter has been chewing these since she was 2 (4 yrs now). I started chewing them also and discovered they are an easy alternative to swallowing adult-sized capsules or spoonfuls of cod liver oil.
We wanted high quality natural supplements without sugars for my 3 year old granddaughter. We ordered Nordic Naturals strawberry soft gel chewables and the strawberry liquid. Although she tried both, she prefers the chewable gels to the spoonful of liquid. Popping the little gel into her mouth evidently seems more appealing to her -- she was afraid to try the liquid, fearing it would taste bad. When we got her to try it, she said it tasted ok, but she still prefers to chew the gels. In either case, I know she is getting high quality Omega 3s and some vita-D here in our northern climate with its lack of sun rays intensity.
Members of my family have a psychological aversion to cod liver oil. I personally take Carlon's lemon-flavored liquid and it does NOT taste fishy. However, my husband, son and daughter-in-law won't even experiment with one little taste of the liquid (big babies!). However, they WILL swallow the softgel capsules. My daughter-in-law started taking these while she was expecting our granddaughter, and we are all proud to say that our now-3-year-old has been highly intelligent right from birth -- we think that these Carlson cod liver oil capsules can take some of the credit!
