I first became interested in natural medicine at the age of 18. As a teenager, I experienced many severe health problems such as severe acne, depression, anxiety, low energy, and hypoglycemia (pre-diabetes). As a last resort, I went to see a Naturopathic physician. While skeptical at first, having been brought up on prescription drugs and a Standard American Diet (SAD), I decided to try the changes suggested by the Naturopath. I switched to a whole foods diet, cut out dairy products, started taking vitamins and other supplements, and began exercising and practicing meditation. Within a year, most of my health problems were gone. I have since studied more about natural medicine and tried hundreds of health products. My favorite book is "Healing With Whole Foods" by Paul Pitchford. I have found that a simple, whole-foods based diet, along with some key supplements, exercise, and stress reduction is a great recipe for health. May others find the key to good health, too!
