Product Overview

  • Gamma Tocopherol
  • Mixed Tocopherol Complex
  • Inhibits Nitric Oxide Radicals
  • Dietary Supplement

Gamma E contains gamma tocopherol, one of the eight members of the vitamin E family found concentrated in plant seeds and vegetable oils. Typical Vitamin E supplements only offer d-alpha tocopherol, which has been shown to deplete serum gamma tocopherol.

Gamma tocopherol is especially protective against reactive nitrogen species, free radicals that damage lipids, proteins and DNA. Each softgel of Gamma E contains more gamma tocopherol than a kilogram of pecans, pistachios, or walnuts.

Suggested Use

Beware DHL

Posted by iHerb Customer on Aug 11, 2017 | Verified Purchase

I ordered from France and DHL had to pay taxes and then charged them to me but with 100% fees which make DHL a band of thieves. Iherb should consider taking taxes in product price to avoid such situation. Don't choose DHL for shipping!!

Doctor recommended Gamma in stead of D-ALPHA TOCOPHEROL

Leg pain has gone away and less skin cancer. PubMed Study Does gamma-tocopherol play a role in the primary prevention of heart disease and cancer? Abstract Vitamin E consists of a group of eight isomers, four tocopherols (alpha-, beta-, gamma-, delta-tocopherol) and four tocotrienols (alpha-, beta-, gamma-, delta-tocotrienol). While extensive literature has been published on the potential health benefits of alpha-tocopherol, little is known about gamma-tocopherol, the major form of vitamin E in food in the U.S. gamma-tocopherol has recently received more research attention based on findings from in vitro and animal studies indicating that it has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Based on these recent studies, it is important to investigate the possible health benefits of gamma-tocopherol in humans. In this article, we review publications on dietary gamma-tocopherol intake, plasma gamma-tocopherol levels, cardiovascular disease and cancer risk in humans.

I have been interested in vitamin E for while, but I didn't notice any results with now foods advanced gamma complex. I tried 1000IU alpha-tocopherol and I seemed to react badly, so I figured it might have to do with reduction of gamma-tocopherol. Regardless, this is a rare product since it has mostly gamma and almost no alpha, so I decided to give it a try. It seems to work for me. I get a bit of a 'high' feeling within a few hours of taking two softgels with food and I think it helps me be a bit calmer and less irritable.
