Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Untouched nature mesmerizes me how it lives in harmony within itself; plants, animals and microorganisms, all intertwined in a sometimes chaotic yet cyclical unity. This perspective shaped my childhood and evolved into a quest for knowledge of ethnobotany (study of the relationships between peoples and plants). I'm humbled that this exploration allowed me to build a line of natural health products.
At MRM, we are inspired by nature and utilize science as a tool to learn, incorporate, support and educate what the natural world has to offer.
Respectfully, these Superfoods are the foods our ancestors thrived on, not today's foods we survive on.

I highly recommend this spirulina not only because it is raw and of high quality but also it is 100 percent grown and processed in America. All stages of the raw spirulina production occur in California and it is packed in Michigan. I contacted MRM and asked them to verify the country of origin and manufacture. The agent at MRM was extremely helpful, polite and prompt in responding to my inquiry. I was eating the Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina before which was also quite good but MRM's is a little more reasonably priced. MRM's spirulina seems to be a darker heavier green while the Nutrex spirulina has more blues (cyan). You can tell this but leaving some sit in water and waiting for it to settle. MRM's spirulina reminds me a little of Korean chlorella. For me MRM's spirulina has more of an earthy taste while the Nutrex has more of a sweet sea taste. I like both a lot and will continue eating both brands. I have already purchased a few bags of this and am preparing to buy more.

I am not a huge spirulina fan but after reading the reviews I decided to try it. Glad I did as it does not have that awful taste and it blends nicely.
